We stayed a night at The Peabody one weekend as we were visiting LR. The hotel certainly does not have the charm of the Peabody in Memphis (stayed there several times), but I would assume based on what I saw, this is probably the best hotel in LR. It reminded me of a nice Marriott or Hyatt.
Check in was smooth and fast. We had a room that had a view of a roof top on the 5th floor. We went down and asked if we could have a river view. They informed us that they had none left, but that they would move us up to the 15th floor. They were very nice about it. So kudos to the staff. We did watch the procession of the ducks at 5 pm. Maybe had 15-20 people in the lobby watching it.
The room was large and clean which is all you can ask for. It was pretty quiet in the lobby bar in the early evenings. There were several weddings going on while we were there. A couple of people got quite loud around 1 am in our hallway. Someone on the floor obviously called security and they took care of it rather well and quickly.
We did have an excellent dinner at Brave New Restaurant which is about a 10 min drive away. The place in on the river and the food was excellent and they provided very large portions. I would certainly eat there again.
Little Rock itself was pretty quiet. We visited both the Clinton Library and the Central High Museum. Both were very interesting and I would recommend them.
All in all we had a nice stay at the Peabody. I wouldn't say there was anything outstanding about the hotel, but I have nothing negative to say about it either.

My husband and I were attending a conference at the state convention center. We chose the Peabody beacause of the name recognition and the fact that it was located next door.
The hotel was not only next door to the convention center but actually connected via an underground hallway, which was very convenient.
Check In:
Our check in went very smoothly. The staff were polite and helpful.
The Room:
The room was well appointed and neat, a little small. The bed and bedding were the highlight, I believe, as both were exceptionally comfortable. The room also boasted a very nice view of the river. However, the room did not offer a WiFi connection, which I thought strangely outdated for a high class hotel and the bath tub drain was defective. These two problems were annoying but not the end of the world.
There was a wired internet connection. So, I could still remotely log in but had to remain chained to the room's desk. I could also take a bath by using a washcloth to stuff the drain. I really didn't expect to have to resort to such measures at that price.
Restaurant/Room Service:
After the evening conference meeting, we went to the hotel restaurant. Our original waiter apparently pawned us off to another and the service was mediocer at best. When paying $25 to $60 per entree, I expect more. While our waiter did neglect us, I cannot complain about the food. It was excellent.
The room service was just terrible. I ordered breakfast via room service both mornings and both mornings my order was late and incorrect. I understand paying a premium for the convenience of having a croissant, a glass of juice and coffee delivered to my room. However, if you are going to charge someone that premium at least deliver what was ordered when you say you will. One morning they brought the wrong food, the next morning they brought the wrong food and also forgot to bring a coffee cup or cutlery. So, I'm left staring hungrily at a tray of food I can't eat while I wait 20 minutes for someone to correct the mistake. Extremely annoying.
Valet:
The valet service was reasonably priced and the staff were courteous. I noticed that our car was always about five minutes late and I think this might have been because it was a manual transmission. (They wrote 'STICK" in big letters on our tickets.) So, if you valet a "stick", add about five minutes to the time they give for your car to be ready.
Check out:
Check out was simple and convenient.
Other:
The room hallways seemed to be constantly littered with used room service trays. My husband almost tripped over one at one point. Annoying and kind of smelly.
Conclusion:
This is not a bad hotel but it is also not really a good one either. Perhaps it is the best you can expect in Little Rock. If you avoided the restaurant and room service, you would probably enjoy your stay more. I was not overly impressed and would not stay again unless I were paying at least half the price I was charged for this stay.

Stayed at the property for five nights (was originally scheduled for two, but business kept me for an additional stay; hotel was gracious in helping me extend my stay). The property is nice, with an extremely gracious staff (especially within the restaurant). The one equipment problem with the sink (the plunger wasn't fully closed) was resolved quickly.
However, two significant problems with the property give me pause:
1) As mentioned by other reviewers, there is an extremely long delay when leaving room service trays outside the room. There was no note on whom to call to get the tray picked up. In some cases, I saw on other floors trays left out for nearly 24 hours.
2) Both myself and my coworker took showers in the afternoon, only to discover that there was limited or no hot water. When we reached out to the staff, we were told that because they share hot water with the convention center next door, there's sometimes a limited amount of hot water in the afternoons. While it's understandable, I feel that's not acceptable for a hotel that prides itself on being a four-star property.
Bottom line: It's a very nice property, but just enough problems to cause significant concern.

This was my first trip to the Peabody hotel in Little Rock, while an impressive hotel, would have been very disappointed paying rack rates in what was supposed to be one of the premier hotels in the world. When I walked into the main lobby, it was enormous, and very unfriendly. Extremely tall ceilings and no sense of flow left me wondering where I was to go to check in. After finding the front desk, the personnel were nicely dressed and pleasant. My preference of a King bed was not met when I arrived, and I was told the room had two Queen beds, but when I opened the door to the room, it was two doubles. While I have stayed in many hotels with a double/double configuration, I was not going to accept them being called Queens, and after a 11 hour delay in Cincinnati I wanted a "real" bed. After going back down to the front desk they re-assigned me to the only king room they had, a handicapped one. Which surprisingly was not appointed the same as my double/double room, close, but not quite as elegant. I arrived very late the night before, so in the morning I was ready to start my day with my normal double espresso (actually 2-3 doubles is normal). Checking at the front desk I was directed to the cafe on the other side of the lobby where I could get my espresso. After walking down to the cafe, I noticed it was closed. Bumping into someone while I was weeping in front of the locked cafe, she indicated "it was never open" and that she stayed at the Peabody many times. Walking all the way back to the front desk I asked why was it closed, the front desk clerk had no idea it was closed to begin with. I asked her how it was possible that they had a sold-out hotel and did not see fit to open the coffee shop? A manager overheard the conversation and immediately asked someone else standing near me (who appeared to be an employee) if it was open, only to find out it was not open and the machines were not on (his reaction and body language inferred it was rare that it would be open). I asked where I could go and I was told 5 blocks down there was a starbucks. The manager offered to get me a coffee! she drove to starbucks and brought it up to my room, she ultimately got me the wrong coffee, (asked for an espresso and I got an iced latte - lactose intolerant) but she went way out of her way to help me, my co-worker was rewarded with the coffee! My expectations that the level of service I would experience at the Peabody would rival a "Ritz" level fell short, I will try them again, but I will call ahead to see if the coffee shop is open next time.
