We returned last Friday from a 5 day 4 night stay at the lovely Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa. The entire experience was better than I had anticipated. The accomodations were above par, as were the dining, pool area, and spa. The soaking tub was totally awesome with the flat screen t.v. right over it. The bed and bedding were heavenly. Although I am not a proponant of Las Vegas as a 'family' vacation destination, I will say that this facility has everything you could need to entertain everyone. Having stayed at the Mirage often for the pool atmosphere, I believe that I prefer Red Rock. There are multiple pools w/ varying degrees of privacy and accessiblity. You are charged a daily resort fee and I strongly suggest utililzing the spa facilities that you are paying for as well as the spa pool for quiet get away time. Utilize the water bottles, fruit juices, teas and fruits to recharge and energize. The staff is among the friendliest and most helpful of all the Vegas properties at which I have stayed. If sleep is a consideration for you, I suggest you request a strip view close to the elelvator. The night club on the weekends is a boomer and you don't want to be near it unless you're going to be up past 3a.m. The strip view was nice and twinkly. The casino was nice and easily navigated and not too smoky or loud. I enjoyed the 5$ tables and the variety of slots. Prepare to wait for the hotel shuttle at the airport or pay 50-60$ for a taxi/car. I highly recommend this property and will definitely return.

We stayed at Red Rocks for the first 5 nights of our honeymoon. Overall, the property was clean and gorgeous. The staff went out of their way to help us with anything they needed. The free apples and bottles of water were a nice touch. The casino didn't feel crowded as some do, and the restaurants were awesome (although we stuck to the buffet for breakfast or lunch, which was probably the best we had in a 15 day trip). We also enjoyed the movie theater and bowling alley. It is a really nice alternative to the strip. It was still Vegas, just a laid back cleaner version.
There are a few drawbacks. The pool, while beautiful, was freezing!! Get there early if you want an umbrella. It was $23 for a margarita and a rum runner. The view is of a parking garage, even with the canyon view. Well, a parking garage, some suburbs, and then the rocks. We had a major issue with our keys. By the time we left, I had 5 keys. The first day, they didn't have the smoking king we requested, and we moved the second day. My curling iron disappeared in the move. I called housekeeping, and never got a response back. We were locked out of our room 5 different times. The elevator at the pool didn't go to our floor either, which was extremely frustrating. The hallways were VERY long, and the elevators are on one side. The curved design makes you feel like you are on a neverending quest! Also, the buffet lines were extremely long. Our last day, I waited 30 minutes in line (while my husband checked out).
I gave it a higher rating though because this was a great place. A little tip- there is a CVS about a mile away. Go there and get your drinks. We saved a bundle by doing that! We brought our own to the pool the next day!

This is a beautiful hotel that was recommended to me by one of my business partners. Upon arrival, there were not two rooms available for checkin which is understandable. The front desk rep was robotic. She told us it would take an hour and she would call us on our cell. Three hours later they called (about 345 pm). I arrived at the front desk and they had one room available. They could not get the second room until later. Other people were checking in as we continued to wait for our second room After a few minutes I asked why we could not get a second room. They said our room had already been assigned and it was not clean. Again, no apology, no sympathy. The seemed to feel I was lucky to be a customer. I asked if I could just cancel my rooms (3 night stay) and go somewhere else. They said I would have to pay for one night for both rooms. When Vanessa, the manager, got involved she was kind enough to allow me to pay for just one night for only one room. I felt that was unreasonable, since I had never been in a room, had the priveledge of hanging around their lobby for four hours even after the published checking time. I asked to see her superior and she said I could speak to him but he would give me the same answer. She said he was in a meeting and would not be available until later. I had the option of leaving and paying one night for one room or wait for him. I opted to checkin to both rooms (the second one became available) and check out the next morning without penalty and stay the next two nights at another hotel. Unbeleivable. The management of this hotel is just processing cattle. They could care less. It is an honor for you to be their customer. I finally spoke to Joe Saldana the front office manager. He agreed with my position and assured me he would speak to Vanessa. He asked what he could do to make amends. I told him nothing. I don't want anything. I am not asking for compensation. I want to be greated nicely, provided a room in a timely basis, treated as a human being and enjoy my stay. None of these things happened. I just wanted to have fun in Las Vegas for three days. Now I get to find another hotel after being forced to stay at Red Rocks. I would not recommend Red Rocks. I would look for a hotel that is focused on customer service.

We stayed at the Red Rock Resort for 7 days and it was fantastic! Check-in was swift and efficient. I had requested a room by the elevator (helpful because some rooms can be a longer walk to the elevator), and even though a strip view room was not available, they gave us a (more expensive) canyon view room for the same rate. The staff was very helpful and friendly with any requests that we had. (When we checked in our room was missing one bathrobe, and after one phone call, they brought it up within 5 minutes). With the restaurants, casino, movie theater and bowling ally on site, there is so much to do there, and the pool area was magnificant! One tip though is to avoid the severely overpriced food at the pool grill -- $14.00 for a hamburger is ridiculous! However it was otherwise terrific. If you head down Charleston Blvd to the Strip, it's only about a 15-20 min drive...not bad! I highly recommend this resort and would stay there again!

The first thing I liked about the Red Rock is that they have an airport shuttle bus downstairs. One level below the regular shuttles (It was somewhat difficult locating the shuttle from the airport, because I thought it would be with the other shuttles)
Once on the bus, the driver, gave us each a bottle of cold water, which was very much appreciated, as it was hot.
Get to the hotel, it is simply stunning....
Check in was pleasant...they have small bottles of water and apples for your enjoyment.
Now, the room was alllllllllllllllllll the way down the hallway......
away from the elevator, but that too was ok I could use the walk.
The room itself was very stunning, and lavish....the marble in the bathroom and the flat screen t.v. in the bathroom were a treat.
The tub and shower are separate. Again, stunning.
The bed, oh my goodness, was like a dream come true. It was so comfortable and relaxing, that I didn't want to leave it.....
There is a large flat screen t.v.
Now, the view, was of construction, but even that didn't bother me.
There is the casino, Starbucks, buffet place(where you will get a couple of dollarsoff your meal with their station card) There is a movie theater and a place to go bowling.
At night I left the curtains pulled back, and was able to enjoy the lightening show.
I can't wait to go back to this place. Even though it is no where near the strip, you have everything your little heart desires in this fabu hotel.
