We stay for four nights in a junior suite connecting to a deluxe room (for our two girls). The junior suite was very large and nicely appointed. the deluxe room was a bit small, and looked on to the back of the hotel, but was adequate and quiet for the girls. Very clean and good bathrooms. The windows looked out on to Passieg de Gracias, but they are double windows so there was very little noise. The staff was friendly, but the front desk can be overwhelmed, since they act as front desk and concierge. For most things they were very helpful, but were reluctant to recommend places to eat. The places they mentioned were very mediocre pizzerias. But its hard to find bad food around there, so no big deal. The bell staff were attentive and worked hard to get a cab that could handle four with luggage.

We decided to book this hotel two months ago for our week holiday in Europe.
I am so happy we selected the Majestic. The location is fantastic and the hotel fabulous.
This hotel is a true five star with excellent service from the reception to the breakfast room and the bar.
We were very well treated all the way from our arrival.
Our room was very nicely decorated although not very big. But hey! In Europe rooms are usually smaller than Asia or USA.
We had various English TV channels which was a plus (and not the typical news channels that you see everywhere).
The location is ideal as you are right in the middle of everything: shopping, museum, Gaudi houses, terraces and tapas bars. You have it all around.
If ever we come back to Barcelona, we will come back to the Majestic for sure.

Just coming back from a med cruise and stayed 3 nights post cruise at the Majestic. It was fabulous.
First of all, this is the location you want to stay. It is close to everything, surrounding by great tapas bars and shops and you are not in the buzz of the Rambla. The Gaudi house is only 1 block down the street...
The staff is charming and helpful. They helped us arrange dining in wonderful restaurants every night.
The rooms are well appointed although not the typical american size standards but hey, we are in Europe and the building was a 100 years old...
We had a large bed, very soft linen, good amenities, turndown service, A/C although not needed as the temperature was mild.
Breakfast was very good with a large variety.
I would recommend the Majestic Barcelona without a doubt.

We had a lovely time at the Majestic hotel. Our room was nice and spacious and serviced very well. The rooftop bar is beautiful and the hotel very central.
We booked by Splendia, where we found some really good promotions, for all summer time!
It's really worth going, staying there, and discovering barcelona this way!

Great location - close to everything without hassle of being in Gothic quarter. Very friendly staff and internet worked like a charm. Great bar in the hotel as well. Only complaint was typical Euro approach of pushing two twins together to make a king bed. Request a room not facing the Paseo Gracia - you may sacrifice view/light, but you'll appreciate the quiet.
