I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2008 as part of a business trip to the USA and Mexico. The hotel is unusually well appointed and looks, to all intents and purposes, like a traditional Spanish hotel. I say 'unusually' because the surrounding area is unremarkable to say the least. Close to the theatre and science park but a fair way from the town centre, the traditional style looks a little out of keeping at first.
Inside, you'll find a lovely courtyard with fountains and a very good outdoor pool set in gardens as well. The building is low rise with rooms onto the courtyard or gardens. Internally, the rooms are very well appointed and fitted out. Floor area is generous and there is a nice feel once inside and away from the hustle and bustle.
The restaurant is pleasant enough for breakfast - indoor or outdoor - although the hotel was very quiet in the evenings when we stayed.
Really, considering the price, I couldn't fault this place. If you are travelling for leisure, then it may be a little out of it for you. On business, I don't think you'd be disappointed.

It is tempting to rate this hotel a 5 out of 5. The property is lovely, the room was terrific, and the restaurant was outstanding. The property is more or less enclosed, and the interior has a very nice feel. There is a courtyard kind space of a pretty good size, with a soothing sound from the fountain. We ate outside one day on the patio, where we could hear the fountain as well as some pleasant classical music. The restaurant is first class. We had dinner there too, and the interior is really quite attractive. Both the food and ambience are excellent.
The room was spacious and comfortable. Ours had a sofa in addition to some chairs, plus a 2-level layout and a large jacuzzi tub. Thumbs up for the room.
The staff was exceptionally helpful. We also appreciated the business center, where it was easy and convenient to check some things on the internet.
Only a couple of issues kept us from rating the hotel a 5 out of 5. First, the location struck us as less than ideal. It's on a busy thoroughfare that isn't walking distance from the city center. There is nothing especially attractive about the area. Perhaps that is true of Aguascalientes generally, which is an industrial town. Second, the pool struck us a rather barren and forgettable. It was large enough, but we saw nobody even approach it, and one must admit that the entire pool area seems sun-bleached and underwhelming.
With all that said, the hotel was nevertheless a fine property. We would not hesitate to stay there again. The restaurant and rooms alone justify the stay.

Beautiful grounds, lovely rooms, large warm swimming pool, great food but best of all the service was above excellent. All staff seemed to be fluent in English which helped and their attentiveness was almost overwhelming. For $120 a night this was a memorable stay.

This hotel is excellent in all ways! From the moment you enter the lobby you feel in a palace. The lobby is very elegant and they give you fruit and champagne cocktail upon your arrival.
The patio is great full with fountains and elegant architecture and some rocks are actually speakers with jazz.
The restaurant is excellent and very elegant, I recommend the dominical brunch in which they serve a very good buffet and there is a string quartet playing, a great experience.
We stayed at a Governor Suites "The Zacatecas Suite" and "The San Luis Suite", they were great. It was very big and elegant. The furniture was very elegant and the room was divided in two levels. The roof was very high. The bathroom was very beautifull with a huge jacuzzi and Hermes amenities. There is a pillow menu with about 14 different options, I ordered the "Rosa pillow" and loved it so much that i purchased one (you can purchase the pillows).
The service is one of the best ones I've ever had, everyone was very servicial and kind. This hotel is 5 star in all ways.
My only complaints would be that there are no extra beds in the hotel, that's really inconvenient if you go with kids. The other complaint is that the pool was freezing, you weren't able even to touch it, it was really awfull.
The hallways were really beautifull full with arches.
This is defenitely the best hotel in the city, all it's aspects are 5 stars.
I went there for christmas and New Year, and it's decoration was awesome! The christmas tree in the lobby was very beautiful. The New Year's eve dinner was delicious and with nice live music. The menu included lobster ravioli and duck among other things.
Totally reccommend it!!!
