Pros.
1. Best part of this hotel Lifetime Fitness on the 3rd floor
2. Friendly Staff
3. Good location, close to everything
4. Great Bed
5. Great bathroom Aveda products
Cons.
1. Dissapointed in whats considered "Premire Suite" very bland, empty feeling and out of date bathrooms.
2. Housekeeping came late daily
3. Our room service dishs, trays were left outside our room for over 24 hours. Twice.
Overall good for the value at least on the weekend rates.

Great location, great value, comfortable bad!!!, nice size of the room and bathroom. If you would like to use the spa you need to make appoitments few days before your arrival (we did not and could not get any service). Restaurant did not look that good and somebody in the elevator advice us not to go. Ask in the hotel for recomendation, we did and it was O.K.

I stayed at the Grand for one night on a business trip. The room was nice, though not especially large. The bathroom was at least a third of the room space, so that was more impressive. There were definite nice touches like the turn down service, coffee/tea delivery with your wake up call, complimentary shoe shine, etc. The free access to the gym in the building was great. They had an olympic size pool, which I used (only user in the pool) and the locker room was gorgeous. When I returned to my room that night, chocolates were waiting for me along with the robe laid out, and towels rearranged in the bathroom to anticipate use. Everything was very clean with the exception of the glass doors in the bathroom. Free wireless internet access. The staff was very helpful and responsive. The only slightly negative experience was when I asked for a late check out, I had to renegotiate with them at several points to finally get a 2 pm check-out. If they could do that, they should have offered it to me up front without my having to banter for it. They had a complimentary wine and cheese hour in the evening and room service was pretty good - though pricey ($20 pancakes). All-in-all I wasn't blown away by the stay, but it was definitely nice, especially when I could expense the exorbitant nightly rate of more than $300.

There are many plush hotels that offer luxury in terms of creature comforts. The Grand Hotel certainly fits this mold, but what makes this Hotel stand out is its service. I have stayed in five star hotels on multiple continents, and I have never experienced service as good the Grand's. Check in is efficient, and the staff was incredibly flexible in helping me establish a welcome surprise for my wife's birthday. Throughout the stay, the staff exemplified the ideals of service, and thoroughly made my wife and I feel like royalty. In addition, the rooms are finely appointed to even the smallest detail. The sheets are Egyptian cotton packed under goose down, the chocolates left for the turn down are Godiva, and ergonomics of the rooms are designed to make every task as easy as possible. Your wakeup call is met each morning with a fresh pitcher of hot coffee waiting outside your door. My only gripe was a lack of outlets to plug in computers and other travel items. That being said, this hotel may seem pricey, but it is literally a steal compared to often much higher priced luxury hotels.

My g/f and I stayed here for the weekend while the Yankees were in town. Hotel was incredible, service was outstanding, room was impressive. 5 star all the way with this hotel. Pool was clean and even visited the Lifetime Fitness they had in the building. Got this room for half the price as I had reserved this room way ahead of time. It is a def recommend to travelers.
