We had only one night in Genevre; chose the Kipling on the basis of the Trip Advisor reviews and it lived up to its rating. We didn't have time for the breakfast as we were catching an early train. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, quiet room, great bathroom and free internet - what more do you want?

This hotel fully deserves to be near the top of the rankings. Don't be fooled by the fact it has 3 stars: this is a technicality - as it doesn't have a full restaurant it can't get more.
It seems fairly newly renovated and is in a South Asian style (dark wood, bamboo etc) and very tastefully done. There is free wi-fi and if you don't take your laptop a business centre where you can use their computer for free. The rooms are comfortable with a nice bed and quilts, reasonable TV choices (6 English language) on a flat screen TV and a small desk if you need to do some work. I didn't try it out but my room had a little kitchenette you could rent. The bathrooms are nicely done (although some water leaked out of the glass shower screen in my room on to the floor) with good fluffy towels. All the staff were very cheery and perfectly efficient.
The location is handy for downtown close to the train station and the Paquis area for a good choice of food and drink (and more if you know Geneva). If you are driving good luck as my Satnav couldn't work out the one way system and neither could I so we just drove round till I got lucky and stumbled on it. There are a few outside places to park behind the hotel (25CHF), but maybe call to reserve one during very busy periods. There is also underground parking, but I didn't check it out as I was happy to leave my car outside in Geneva. There is a Tram stop at the top of the street about 30 metres away and with your visitors card you get free use of Trams and Buses all over Geneva (even to the Airport by train).

I am adding to the long list of compliments for this hotel. Although it is a 3-star hotel, but it's quality is on par with any 4 star hotel. The hotel is quite small but very cosy. Hotel rooms are nicely and tastefully decorated. It has a very good location, too, 5 min walk from the railway station and it is off the main street, so not noisy at night. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel near the train station i central Geneva. Fine decorated rooms, with great bathrooms, LCD tv and aircon. Walking distance to trainstation and the citycenter. If you dont want to walk, the Pram 13 and 15 stops just 50 metre outside the hotel.
