We were spoilt at the Kaiserhof

Despite a rocky start, where the hotel had no record of our booking (not great after getting off the plane from Australia with a two year old), our stay turned out to be fabulous. Although they were unable to accomodate us on the first night of our booking, they arranged alternative accommodation for us and paid for our taxi there and then back to the Kaiserhof the next day. On our return we had been upgraded at no cost to a stunning suite on the top floor. We stayed for three nights and we could not fault one thing with the hotel, the staff, the food... it was all wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was not as central as some other hotels, but a walk into the centre of town was easy, and we walked everywhere no trouble in the middle of winter with our toddler.

We ended up at the Kaiserhof by accident when there was a problem with our reservation at a nearby sister property. Accustomed to staying in the 1st District, we were not sure we’d like being outside the Ring but found the Kaiserhof to be a short walk from most destinations and convenient to Underground and trams. Our non-smoking room was spacious and quiet with a very comfortable bed. We can’t say enough wonderful things about the breakfast – huge selection and utterly delectable baked goods and pastries. The staff were outstanding – friendly, unfailingly helpful, with excellent English. We look forward to returning to the Kaiserhof again soon.

This is a lovely hotel with absolutely top class service. Well positioned, just 10 minutes from the opera house in the centre. Staff were very friendly, really knowledgeable and could not do enough for us. Breakfast was excellent, rooms were spotless and very quiet even though we were right at front of hotel. Highly recommend this hotel. We arrived 30 minutes before check in time and because one of our rooms was not ready they gave us free drinks in the bar until it was. If you want a little luxury at a reasonable price then stay here.

Absolutely lovely hotel! It was very hot in Vienna, but Kaiserhof's air condioning saved us. I was also able to organise by email surprise birthday breakfast from Finland and they did everything without my husband getting any idea beforehand. Lobby bar was lovely. Will definately go back some day!
