My boyfriend and I were staying at Maly Krakow for five nights and were unable to get any sleep for almost our entire stay at this hotel.
The reason for this is that, during our stay, the hotel had also been booked by a “bachelor party”; ie: British “hooligans” who were screaming and yelling and behaving like pure animals. We had booked five nights but were kept awake for three nights by extreme noise and yelling in the corridor of this very small hotel. The reception is manned 24/7 but was unable (or unwilling) to do anything about the problem, although they are sitting next to the corridor and perfectly able to hear and see everything that is going on.
If you don’t min yelling, screaming, vandalism, banging on doors and verbal abuse, this is a perfectly nice hotel with clean rooms and a great location just outside the walls of the “old city”. Just don’t expect to catch any sleep during your stay and don’t expect the hotel doing anything about any trouble- or noisemakers.
We recommend a quieter hotel with proper management and security – and we will never go back to Maly Krakow...

This was myself and my partner's first trip to Poland and it was a great four day trip to Krakow. It is well named the jewel in Poland's crown. The hotel was more than adequate for our needs. The room had a small kitchenette area with a hotplate, kettle, sink and dishes. We didn't need to use these facilities as the restaurants were magnificent, as was the food, and all reasonably priced...less than half British prices. The reception staff at the hotel were brilliant, all spoke English (amongst a selection of other languages)and were always smiling and eager to help with trip advice, train times etc. The hotel was a five minute walk from the train station and the bus station. Trains were clean, on time, servicing all areas and very cheap.
The hotel breakfast was served in a small room and consisted of breads, rolls, cold meats, sausage, cereals, yoghurt, juice, tea/coffee.
Krakow was a beautiful city to visit and we intend returning in a different season to see it in full bloom.
The Polish people were friendly in all the restaurants, sights, trains, coffee bars, museums and willing to help a tourist with a street map.

Just arrived back from a long weekend in poland. My wife and I stayed at the Maly Hotel for the duration and couldn't fault anything whilst there. The hotel and bedrooms are spotless and very warm which I thought may be a problem in January. The hotel staff are very friendly and a credit to the management. The location is ideal and a couple of minutes walk to the main trourist centre and next door to the new stopping arena. Overall I would recommend this hotel for the money and guarantee my wife and I will be returning in the near future.
Ok, but that is all

We stayed three nights in October and thought the stay was just about worth the price. The location is perfect for arriving with the airport train “express” that takes you to the main railway station. From there it is an easy 10 minute walk to the hotel. Walking to the cloth hall is also an easy thing to do. So the location is very good. The view from the window is a parking lot or a wall.
On your way to the hotel you will pass a very large shopping mall with everything you can possibly ask for. We walked through the mall to get to the hotel. If you enter the shopping mall from the station end you will find the hotel street outside the first exit on your left in the mall.
Reception was very helpful but sometimes the information was not all that accurate concerning busses and stuff like that. The tourist information is a better option to get the best information.
You have to ask for the room to be cleaned. Check that they add toilet paper as this was not done.
The rooms are beginning to show wear with scratches and dirt on the walls (from suitcases). In the triple we had we lacked a proper place sit to plan our day. Most of the room is occupied by the beds. If you are unfortunate to have loud guests staying in the hotel you will probably be disturbed as the doors are thin and you can hear others having their morning shower, if not it is a calm location without traffic outside. We had a very hot room as the radiator control was broken. As it is a ground level place you want to have the windows closed during night. The kitchen area looked fine but we did not use it.
Breakfast is ok some hot stuff and bread. The breakfast hall is small and in the morning you might have to wait to be seated. In our case people seemed to skip to sip their last drops off coffee to let others sit down.
This is a good choice if you want a good location for arriving, shopping in the large mall and the cloth hall is very important to you otherwise you can probably find a better solution. Be advised that other guests could disturb you stay.
