Nice Hotel with "live" Peacocks
Guest name: wroughtironron, Rochdale, England
Very grand hotel next to Walter Swinburns racing stables and about a mile outside Tring town centre.
A porter (Czech) carried my bag to my room and it was well equipped with nice pillows/bathroom smellies/drink sachets and stationery.
The old style tv was housed in a massive cabinet sideways to the bed - a strange position which didn't help if you wanted to watch tv laid in bed.
Breakfast (15 quid) was very nice although they don't do fried eggs, and the hotel has beautiful lounges/bar if you can't face Tring.
I ate in a top class Indian Restaurant in Tring called the Lemon Lime.

My partner and I had 3 nights bed and breakfast at the delightful
Pendley Manor over the festive season. We checked in on Christmas Eve and were greeted by a roaring log fire in the main hall. The staff were very courteous and professional , nothing was too much trouble on what must have been an extremely tiring and busy time for them.
The rooms were very well presented and warm. Breakfast could not be faulted. It was good to see the peacocks roaming in the immaculatly kept gardens . Most certainly a very relaxing place to stay.
The Hotel was fully booked for Christmas day dinner and upon viewing the Dining rooms set out for this ,made us regret that we had not reserved a table.
Our only disappointment being, the lack of guests staying in Penley Manor over this period (around 20) thus resulting in a lack of atmosphere.

Scammell lunch experiance
Guest name: Highwayman3, Harrow
It fell to me to organize a small gathering of people (50) for a Lunch then an AGM. The staff made us most welcome and all the guests made a point of saying how much they had enjoyed the day. There was a small missunderstanding about the main course but as it turned out it there was a more than satisfactory alternative for us and we were served a first class meal. We had thought it would be a one off but the majority of members want us to re book again for next year and although it was a little more than we would have normally spent on a club event it was well worth it. Thanks to all for making it a thouroughly good day. Thank you. David (Sec Scammell Register) We will be back.
A Memorable Christmas Party
Guest name: group1, Faversham
We have just held our Christmas Party at Pendley Manor. The hotel is Lovely and the service was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Our every need was catered for.
Included in our package was the use of a lovely indoor swimming pool, a gym and a sauna, which many of us used,
The hotel rooms were cosy and clean many of the rooms having four poster beds, which were very popular, with lovely views to the surrounding grounds, where Peacocks, Squirrel’s and Rabbits could be seen.
The food was delicious and well laid out, the choice at breakfast was abundant.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Pendley Manor to others; It is a lovely old manor hotel which has made many improvements to upgrade. It gives everyone staying there the feeling of opulence.
