I have stayed at the hotel on numerous occasions over the past 18 months. Although it is in a convenient location for business and is a good price ($70) , I would not stay here again. The rooms needs updating, most of the good staff have left and in general, the hotel has a tired feel about it. I now stay at the Royal Garden Hotel, about 10 mins away, which for the same price is much better

This is a fantastic, well-kept and tidy property. From check in to check out, I was looked after extremely well. My room was made up daily and was replenished with water bottles as tap water is not drinkable. Someone from the front desk even came to my room and assisted with my internet connection as I could not get the ADSL to work. Once on line, the service was fast. I had a TV with many channels from around the world so for non-Chinese visitors fear not as you xcan most likely find something in your language. All the staff speak a reasonable amount of English.
The in house Japanese restaurant is more of a tapas restaurant, if you will. At only 178 RMB per person including drinks, its way more than value for money.
The breakfast buffet was phenomenal and varied with Chinese, Japanese and western selections of both hot and cold foods. Some of the food was a tad bizarre such as their own version of spaghetti with seafood (which was on offer for breakfast) They have a bakery in case you need a gift to take to business contacts.
The hotel almost exclusively caters to visitors of the many factories in the area. Don't be put off by the neighborhood but if you have to go out, only do so with an escort as the streets can be crowded and the traffic unpredictable. There is an adjoining nightclub and spa but I did not get to use them.
The staff really could not do any more to look after me and I would definitely stay again.

Over the past few years, I have spent MONTHS at this hotel. As will all large hotels in the area, they have a sprawling entryway with marble floor to ceiling and tall trees inside to greet you.
The Differences...
The 5 star hotels in China in this region all start out beautifully. Sadly after only 2 years, most of them have fallen into disrepair.
The Windsor Park is different.
**Perhaps it's due to the international management staff?
**The rooms are well maintained, the gym seems to be getting better, and the olymic size indoor pool is always spotless.
**Your in-room fruit bowl is refilled daily for your enjoyment.
** They have 2 full floors of REAL NON-SMOKING rooms available. By real I mean -- well, in China they often make your room non-smoking by removing the ashtrays. (But not the stench!)
** Next door you can get foot massages (under $10USD) and on the 2nd floor of the hotel itself you'l find an excellent Japanese restaurant with a wonderful Teppanyaki Bar.
** DVDs are available to borrow from the business center to play on your personal laptop.
The friendly staff and attentive management always welcomes suggestions and comments.
My parents stayed here with me last year when I brought them through China. Mom was overwhelmed with how beautiful everything was and how friendly all staff were!
I keep coming back!
