Have just returned from Phuket and during our time there we spent the first 3 nights at this resort....before progressing to busier stays at Bangkok and Patong. The resort suited our needs for a relaxing start to what was to be a hectic family holiday. The location is very handy to shops and restaurants, with a more peaceful surrounding than Patong. Being the wet season.....very hot and humid, we found it a bit far to walk to our favourite beach (Kata), but only a few mins by Tuk Tuk. So, if a relaxed pace is what you are after, this resort delivers. The pool is nice, the rooms are clean and everything in ours worked. The beds are firm.....as they all seem to be in Thailand. Breakfast was adequate....nothing to rave about, but not bad either. All in all we found this resort met our expectations according to what we had read about it on the net and enjoyed our stay.

This was a great hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. Hotel staff were very friendly. The pools looked great. Breakfast was great with lots of variety. The spa was expensive though. Renovations were being done on a hotel nearby but it never annoyed us, we couldn't even hear any noise. Perfect position, right in the middle of Karon Beach, and yet no noise from the streets or bars. About 7k's from Patong, we hired scooters and rode in daily. Would encourage anyone to stay here, and would return.

Our family including 3 teenaged girls had 2 dbbl rooms. Loved the rooms - spacious,ample furnishing, good shower in the (again) spacious bathroom, comfortable beds with a large window seat/bedding option. The feeling of pleasantness extended to the outside and other areas of the hotel as well. The rooms are separated from the reception/dining/lounge area with the dining area open to and over the main street. The bar was stand-alone structure at the entrance . The staff were excellent - cheerful, ever ready to help. Only housekeeping was a tad lackadaisical. Used glasses, empty bottles were not removed promptly and they didn't have an ice-bucket when my husband requested ice. Other than this, lovely place and would love to return.

Nous avons passé une semaine au diamond cottage resort. Lors de notre arrivée, nous avons été surpris et déçus par les dimensions de l'hotel et des chambres. Tout parait beaucoup plus vaste sur les photos du site internet . Cette première impression passée, nous avons constaté que les prestations sont conformes à ce qui est annoncé. Les chambres sont correctes mais pas trés grandes avec tout le confort (climatisation, TV sattelite, peignoirs, mini bar etc..). Elles sont propres et bien entretenues mais le mobilier et la décoration auraient besoin d'un petit rafraichissement. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et de qualité, il est servi en plein air sur la terrasse du restaurant dans un cadre trés agréable. Nous avons diné une fois au restaurant, il est excellent et trés propre. L'ensemble du personnel est absolument charmant et disponible. La piscine est assez jolie pas trés grande mais suffisante pour se baigner. L'hotel est trés bien situé à mi chemin des plages de kata et karon beach. Il y a beaucoup de boutiques à proximité et de bons restaurants pas trés chers. Globalement cet hotel offre un rapport qualité prix totalement correct pour sa catégorie (3 étoiles).

As i have stayed in this hotel for many years now, and liked the place and price/performance ratio, i booked for my friends and me 3 rooms for 9 nights. I was shocked when I arrived and the lady at the reception showed me the room. in the attic, half hidden by the pool bar and behind a concrete wall. I asked to change the room. sorry we are fully booked, was the answer. Since I knew that the next day my friends arrived, i stayed there for the night and on the next morning i asked, if I could change the room now. sorry fully booked, was the answer. but where will my friends stay, who will arrive today, i asked. she was a bit surprised, that i had caught her lying straight in my face, so she showed me two rooms just opposite a new building site, where the workers could look straight into the room, starting a 7 in the morning until 10 in the night. sorry i have to give you the worst possible rooms in the house because you booked last minute, was the answer. the rest of the staff was already laughing behind my back. this gave me the rest. i cancelled the rest of my stay and moved to another hotel. i had to pay penalty another night and 500 baht cancellation fee and vowed never again to return to this shame of a hotel.
