This Hotel is a great find, real Mexico, yet with an understanding of American needs. The people were friendly, the rooms spacious and clean, and the amenities plentiful. The Italian restaurant in this hotel may not be fully authentic Italian, (at least not by my wife's standards), but the brick-fire cooked pizza is fantastic. Most of the staff spoke at least some English, and there were several who spoke very well. Lastly, the location is ideal, several very nice local restaurants nearby, McDonalds 2 blocks away, a movie theater 2 blocks away, and the central leathern district, (many say Leon is the leather capital of the world), just a few blocks away as well. I have stayed at this hotel for a total of more than 50 days over the past 3 years and have yet to be disapointed.

We had a wonderful time the hotel is very tropical and in the heart of the city walking distance to the main street ask for a room with the boulevard view I recommed the 3rd or 4th floor. The Mariachi's played for free while we had brunch. I'm just sorry our trip had to end. it's true what they say 5 star hotel at 2 star price.
