I stayed here for two nights in April and was really pleased with the hotel. I was too early to check in when I arrived but was keen to leave my bag so I could go out and have a look around Lisbon. The front desk were really helpful, taking my bag and keeping it safe until my room was ready. Upon returning later my bag had already been placed in my room for me.
The room was a little small, but as I was on my own this was no problem. It was also nicely finished and very clean, Breakfast was good both mornings as well.
All in all a pleasant stay - recommended!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Dom Carlos Liberty for three nights. The staff were extremely friendly and the location was great. Although it is located a bit north of all of the main areas (such as the Barrio Alto and the river), it is central, so you can get to different parts of the city easily. Also, it is only a block from a metro stop on one of the mail lines. It is just off of a main street, so it was very quiet at night. The lobby was extremely nice, modern and our room was clean, updated and although a little small, perfect for our needs. The breakfast was very similar to all other hotels in Lisbon, but had good variety and was replenished often.

Based on a recommendation by friends, we booked into the Dom Carlos Liberty - the hotel has two properties in Lisbon. The rooms are nice and clean, albeit on the smaller side. The rate included breakfast (fine, basic) and free internet access (wired only). The staff were very friendly, gave good recommendations and spoke very good English. The hotel is centrally located with easy access to public transport (metro, bus). My only caveat which prevents me from recommending the hotel is that the air conditioning for the entire property failed at 5 pm on the second day of our stay and could not be fixed until the following day. The window in our room was fixed and could not be opened. Fortunately, the room "only" got to 26 degrees at night - it could have been far worse if this happened during summer.

I stayed here with seven friends for a long weekend. Front desk was always very helpful & friendly, as were the porters. Rooms were a bit small but more importantly were very smart and well maintained. Good choice of TV channels incl. BBC World & BBC Prime. Breakfast was first class although the restaurant did have trouble coping at times.
Only problem was that our room was very warm at night - Lisbon was experiencing a heatwave and the hotel hadn't yet switched to summer mode for the aircon.
I'd certainly stay here again.

I recently traveled to Portugal with my five year old and my parents who don't speak a lick of Portuguese. (I speak very little also.) It was our last evening in Portugal and we had some friends from Lisbon make the reservations for us. Well it turned out to be great! The staff was unbelievably pleasant and accommodating, speaking very good English. We had them make dinner reservations for us while we took a short walk to the baixa. We were about 3 blocks from the hotel when we realized that there was someone following us down the street, it was the door man chasing after us to let us know that they had to change our dinner reservations. Quite the service. The rooms were on the small side but beautiful all the same. Everything was new and very clean. The breakfast was very good and was included in the stay. Our nightly rate was 105 euros, very reasonable for the location and quality of room. We will definitely stay here again.
