We just stayed here one night but wished it could have been longer. the rooms were large and clean and, travelling with children, we were happy to be able to have interconnecting rooms (not very common in Vietnam). The staff were really lovely especially with the children, the food was good, and we will certainly be coming back!

We only had a short stay at the Harbour View in Haiphong but the hotel was what is to be expected for a Vietnamese 4 star hotel. Nice and big room. Everything was very clean and tidy and it offered all basic room amenities expected from a hotel of this class. The hotel is very nice in it's colonial style. The interior courtyard is a nice touch. The bar serves decent cocktails, the staff is helpful and the restaurant is okay. The breakfast buffet was actually better than the dinner buffet we had there. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Tolles Hotel, absolut sauber, toller Service und ein kleiner Pool mit Wasserfall. Auf unserer Rundreise haben wir hier eine Nacht verbracht. Das Abendessen war ein Buffet welches keine Wünsche offen gelassen hat.

An old style hotel that reflects the glory of the colonial era, is how I would best describe this hotel. Unfortunately we arrived late in the evening and left early the next morning, so were unable to sample all of the facilities that it had to offer. We dined in the main restaurant on arrival, and found that the food was excellent, though a lot pricier than elsewhere in Vietnam. Also the staff were trying too hard to be servile, rather than letting their natural friendliness shine through. The rooms were of a good quality, and staff were efficient throughout our stay. If you want to sample an old style colonial building, then this hotel is an excellent place to stay for some luxury with character.

We stayed only one night in this four star + hotel, well located at the edge of Haiphong's downtown. Our room was adequate but not memorable. Dinner (in the Asian restaurant) and the breakfast buffet were both excellent. Staff were pleasant and competent but we didn't test them much. This hotel is more business than tourist oriented but a good place to break the journey between Hanoi and must-visit Halong bay, especially for those also touring the sites in the Ninh Binh area. Recommended.
