I chose this hotel for a two night stay so that I could be close to the Gare de Lyon and the Air France Bus to the airport. The hotel was very convenient to the metro as well, although not many tourist sites. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to catch a train out of Gare de Lyon or wants an easy way to get to the airport.

The staff were very welcoming and the entrance is clean and inviting. The rooms are small but then having been in Paris twice before, this was not a surprise. Unless you want to spend 500 euro a night, then "quaint" will have to do. The rooms were clean and functional. If you like coffee upon rising though, bring your own kettle and instant as there are no facilities in the rooms. Breakfast will cost you €10.00 so if you're a family of 3 or 4, then it gets tres expensif! A bar fridge would have been nice too so we could have kept some meats and cheeses (and wines!). But all in all, it was great value for money. There are stores right nearby (including a pharmacy right outside the front door) and connection on the Gare de Lyon Metro are a hop skip and a jump away. Oh! And also, bring your own hair dryer as theirs don't work!

Modern, small, long walk to metro

The room was modern and clean - but don't the both of you try to stand up or walk at the same time. Probably one of the smallest rooms I have ever stayed in. The one way street was a challenge the 2 times we attempted a taxi. You MUST have tickets before entering the metro at the closest entrance otherwise you must walk for about 10 minutes to find an agent. Even if you get in to the close entrance you will find along wakl to line 14 which is the most convenient line there. I found the exit signs from Gare de Lyon difficult and I know the metro like the back of my hand having been a former resident of the city of lights! Nothing to write home about at this hotel, if my friends didn't live down the street it never would have happended and will likely never happen again!
