Paid ?113.00 per night to stay at this hotel as Phuket was so busy as it was chinese new year. Was so dissapointed It was clean but felt it was run on a tight budget. I loo roll a day. breakfast was sparse and sometimes no plates and glasses at breakfast time. Choice was limited. Service from staff was good and always smiling. Dont be fooled like me to think wireless internet in your room is free. Its not and if you buy minutes to use they have to be used up within 24 hours or you loose them. Wont stay here again. Although lcation is good and the views stunning I dont think the extra cost was worth it. Equally good places nearby and cheaper. Coconut village was lovely just up the road and much more atmosphere

Following much research we booked and paid for another hotel at Patong Beach 5 months ago for Feb this year. When we arrived the hotel was overbooked much to our annoyance and we were transferred to Avantika. We had to work hard on arrival to get a good room because initially we were on the first floor with no outlook in fact the windows were covered with foliage (grown up since website photos taken).Because Avantika was more expensive than our original hotel the manager eventually kindly gave us one room complimentary upgrade and Burasari paid for the second upgraded room. Once we were given two 3rd floor rooms we were very satisfied. The sea view was limited beause of powerlines and trees but very nice all the same and we would certainly recommend the 3rd or 4th floors. Having to be assertive as soon as one arrives in a place can be quite awkward especially after travelling for 12 hours but I must say the staff were very charming throughout our 3 night stay. The owner/manager was fabulous and even gave us a small gift on our departure.
We had our adult son with us so the size of the hotel was fine. I think it woul be too small for a family with children.
Breakfast was good (the chef cooks eggs to perfection!) however we really prefer a buffet breakfast.
Location was excellent.
It is a 4 star location but I think the room standard is 3 star. The airconditioning did not seem controllable and was very loud and we had to delve around to switch on some of the lights.

The Avantika is simply a beautiful boutique hotel in every respect. Rooms are smartly designed with trendy decor, and especially, a balcony facing the adorable Andaman Sea just at a reachable space. This hotel is located right at the edge of the famous Patong Beach, on a 5 minutes walking distance to its surrounding lively areas. Simply say, the Avantika is surprisingly a charming oasis of peace in the heart of noisy Patong beach. The location, price and quality its one of those most favourite choices if you prefer to stay at the area.
Breakfast was provided in the fresh&cool morning ocean air at the (only one though) restaurant. It was satisfactorily served by friendly staff in sit-down style, although an a la carte menu (either American/Continental) might make the breakfast selection relatively boring after staying there for more than 3-4 nights.
Other disadvantage would be that the Avantika is really a small boutique property, therefore its facilities, e.g. swimming pool, restaurant or spa room, are not so excitingly excellent since they are rather small. Having said that, taking the fact how their staff were always sweet and willing to help and delightfully offer an upgrade if a better (and more expensive - the Grande Deluxe on the 4th Floor) is available, as well as the hotel's excellent location at the reasonable price, the Avantika's superb hospitality and services made those limitations were much less disturbing during my stay. Pick this hotel if you are searching for possibly the best hotel in Patong.

Ok but nothing special

We arrived at this hotel after staying in the much quieter AoNang and I must admit i'm not a huge fan of Phuket. This hotel was at the quieter end of Patong strip but still a bit too busy for our tastes.
The rooms were quite nicely decorated and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The hotel has a smallish pool with a spa pavillion and is also right across from the beach.
There is also a small restaurant where we ate lunch a couple of times and there are many other places to eat within an easy stroll.
Overall i'd rate it a 3 star, there was nothing really wrong with the place but I wouldn't return.
