The rooms in this Hotel (we stayed in a triple room, number 101) are great and all decorated really funky and modern. Previous comments about the showers being too small are just beyond me really as you are staying in Greece, not UK, and they are definately more than adequate. The welcome from George & Alina is superb and straight away you know that they are willing to give any advice on restaurants, buses, beaches, etc. The breakfasts were gorgeous too with plenty to choose from. One thing I really liked about this Hotel is that they follow up on their promise to remove towels by the pool so you can't reserve sunbeds. Obviously they were left on if you were just popping to shops for a few minutes but if you went for lunch, or went off for the afternoon, they were removed. It's so fair this way and didn't cause a problem for anyone. We travelled all round the island as we were there for a Wedding in Imerivogli, and if we returned we would still return to Kamari (and Acqua Vatos). The taxis round the island are reasonable (about 15 euro to Fira, 20 to Imerivogli) and buses are really cheap. The resort has plenty to offer without being in any way tacky. The location of Acqua Vatos is perfect as it's right in the middle of the resort but a couple of minutes back from the beachfront where most of the bars/restaurants are. One thing to be careful of when booking- is that the beachfront ones usually have the pools right next to the walkway where the restaurants are, so not private at all. (people walking past all day right next to where you're trying to relax). Acqua Vatos obviously avoids this as it's just a bit set back. We also booked our airport transfers directly with Hotel and this saved so much hassle at the airport when we landed. We have a 3 year old boy and he absolutely loved it here. George & Alina made a fuss of him when we saw them so he lapped it up ! I would definately return to this Hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks in May when we were over in Santorini getting married. I cannot speak more highly about all aspects of our experience there. We had several of our family there with us and they all feel the same. From the welcome you get when you walk through the front door, to the feeling of friendship you have (which is genuine) when you leave, there cannot possibly be a nicer place to stay. The hotel rooms are stunningly decorated, modern and homely. The hotel has great facilities - internet access, relaxing bar area and the hotel serves snacks and drinks all day. The pool area is fabulous with a generous sized pool, luxurious sun loungers in a clean, relaxing and quiet area. The hotel itself has a perfect location a one minute walk from the beach front. The owners and managers of the hotel Alina and George are top class. You could travel the world over and not meet people as friendly, honest and helpful as these two. They made our stay there and our wedding experience something we will never forget. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

If you have any doubt about booking this hotel, do not hesitate. Book it right away!. You will not find better hospitality or "family feel" than the Acqua Vatos. What sets this hotel apart is the great management staff. George and Alina are wonderful hosts. They are always full of ideas and suggestions. Thanks from Vicky and Julie. The hotel's location is ideal: very close to the beach, shops and restaurants. P.S. across the street you will find the most absolutely, delicious gyros and souvlaki pitas, hands down! Stayed here October 2007 in the Honeymoon Suite. Very spacious. Bathroom a good size. Hotel management very welcoming and helpful providing maps and directions for various places to see. Excellent location, internet access (fee), pool area very relaxing. Cheap souvalakis and cinemas across the road. Everything at your doorstep. I am 27 and I could retire there already. Very pleased with stay at Acqua Vatos.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks from 10th - 24th June and would highly recomend this hotel. George and Alina (the hotel owners) go above and beyond the call of duty to recommend places to eat, days out, excursions, and car hire. Even when our flight was delayed coming home George actually picked us back up from the airport brought us back to the hotel so we didn't have to wait in the very smakll airport. He then took us back to the airport again 2 hours later! (thank you George!!!) The hotal is great value for money, rooms are colourfully and uniquely decorated, and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you are visiting Santorini this is the only place to stay!
