Not a great start when I asked for an extra towel 30 minutes after checking in at 16.00 to complement the one skinny version I had been given and already used for a shower. Its the first time I've stayed in a hotel where they said no. Then I asked for an ashtray as I had a smoking room. I was told no again but that if I put some water in one of the plastic cups in the bathroom, that should work!
The room was OK but very hot and humid. There was an air-conditioning control on the wall with a sign saying they were in the process of getting it installed but you should check it is up and running before you book. I never had breakfast because it was pricy at 14 euro and there is a cafe next door. Nice location near the metro and a safe area to walk at night. Would I stay there again? Maybe, for teh location but I think I'd shop around first.

Stayed for 3 nights in a double room. Everything is really great; location is excellent especially considering the price. This hotel is close to the Montparnasse area. The room is of descent size and the bathroom is big and clean. Breakfast is great. I only saw 2 bad things:
1) Our room was located on the 6th floor, but the elevator only reaches the 4th. So we had to walk 2 levels up.
2) The curtains held a lot of dust. If you are allergic, make sure to take your pills with you.
We complained about the dust and the staff was really nice, they were sweet, attentive and eager to enhance the hotel's service.

The hotel is very central 1 minute from Vanneau Metro and 2 minutes from Duroc Metro - great location easy to access all the sites. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and tastefully decorated. We stayed in a family room (3 adults) - a little cramped for a long stay but perfect for 4 days. I selected it because we were going to the French Open and it is on the direct line to the stadium. Recommend eating at Restaurant Grannie chez Naoto - 27 Peirre Leroux just around the corner from the hotel. Would definately stay there again!

Hotel was finishing up renovations. Decor was fairly handsome combination of cream, gray, black and tan, although already starting to show wear again. We were there for one week, so saw a lot of the property.
There were several issues while we were there, but I think this is what you get for the money in Paris (139 EUR/night).
1. Air conditioning in the guest rooms was supposed to exist, but had not been installed yet.
2. Bathroom sink was cracked, and toilet porcelain stained.
3. Hotel is directly across from a grocery store that has VERY LOUD deliveries starting at 6am Mon-Sat. This was exasperated by the fact that we had to have the windows open because of no air conditioning.
4. Wireless internet did not reach our room.
5. Our room was on the 6th floor, and the elevator only reaches the 4th floor. Elevator very cramped. Also, requires a few steps to get up to the elevator in the lobby itself.
6. Shower water temperature fluctuates greatly.
7. Typical European lack of bathroom counter/shelf space.
8. Very limited English language television.
9. Wireless internet completely down for about 24 hours
10. No clock in room (typical for Europe).
11. Few electrical outlets, and very difficult to reach

The hotel was booked by a client for a business trip to Paris as it had to be close to La Grande Epicerie de Paris, a wonderful food shop.
Having read the less than complimentary reviews on Trip Advisor, I was not especially looking forward to the visit having had a wonderful stay at La Villa St. Germain just before Christmas.
What a pleasant surprise. Hotel was well situated close to a metro which was convenient for connections to the Gare du Nord Eurostar, very bright and welcoming reception and reception staff.
The single room that had been booked turned out to be the double room featured on the hotel web site and had two double beds, a fireplace and amazing stained glass windows (no stained bedcover as in a previous review).
Room was a good size with writing desk and an older model tv, but the free wi fi wasn't working which was only a small downside. Good sized bathroom with bath and a hand held shower. The hotel has recently been refurbished and was in generally good repair except for a small piece of wallpaper peeling up. Not bad for ? 110 in this part of Paris.
Breakfast was a well stocked buffet.
Yes, there was the usual Parisian early morning rubbish collection noise, but this is a big city, it doesn't last very long and coming from London really didn't bother me.
May not be my first choice again, but would certainly stay here quite happily.
