Since 2005, we have made several trips to Bemidji, and we usually stay at the AmericInn. Initially we liked it, but over time, we have become less impressed. The staff is always nice and friendly, but the rooms are worn, the carpets are stained, the sheets are thin and come off the mattress easily, and more than once we have had to request a room change because the room had a musty smell (first floor room). We no longer feel we can recommend this motel.

The experience with Bemidji MN AmericInn is top notch. The staff treats their customers like family. The facility is the cleanest around. I recommend this hotel to everyone that stays anywhere close to Bemidji. I want to make sure the staff gets high reviews. I can't believe how well the staff helps with all my needs. Thank you.

This is an average property by Americinn standards, but the service is far below those standards. There was no milk or orange juice available at the breakfast bar, and after informing the desk clerk and waiting 5 minutes I asked her when there would be more. She said the manager would go to the grocery store after she got off the phone. Not sure when the desk clerk planned to inform me of this. I made 3 requests that day to speak to the manager and never got a response. The manager at check-out time told me she just figured I would stop by the desk. Huh? Also, for all the emphasis Americinn places on "quiet nights", there is an extraordinary amount of thumping, bumping and door-slamming penetrating the walls and floor.

I wrote to trip advisor explaining that my reservation at AmericInn was re-keyed incorrectly and it was quite a mess. AmericInn came through and offered me a free nights stay the next time we are in town. I really appreciate their follow-through and their actions to try to make it right! Great Job!
