We've just got back from this hotel and would recommend it wholeheartedly.
It is very centrally located so very easy to get around, but not noisy.
The hotel itself is beautiful - very clean and well-appointed with very comfortable beds. The staff were charming and could not do enough to help - a family-run hotel and everyone gets involved. The food was wonderful - I'm vegetarian and they took pains to ensure I was happy with the delicious feast they had prepared each night. The breakfast was basic (as is mentioned in an earlier review) but that is Italy for you. The food was all local and whatever was in season. The chef came out each night to tell us how to cook it!
I really would recommend this to anyone.

I went on a walking holiday that was based at the Lanzillotta Hotel. Check in was swift - even with a load of walkers! My room, a single one was very small, but with a comfortable bed and a really nice bathroom with a good shower. My room was at the front of the hotel with a small balcony which overlooked the road and a small square. What was good was the walking and sightseeing. Plus the added bonus was a fiesta for several days. Beautiful Christmas-type lights were erected and a wonderful bandstand and the band belted out some wonderful music. The main church was decorated as well. It was an atmospheric time and the trulli houses that populate the town are wonderful. The not so good was the food in the hotel - we were on half board. Breakfast was bearable but in one week - veal was on the menu four times! In general the food was not good but the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would go back to Alberobello - I really enjoyed the walking holiday - but would not stay at that hotel. It is centrally located and easy to get to everything and is spotlessly clean but does not have a lot of atmosphere.

I staid at the Lanzillotta a couple of years ago and the Hotel has gone through a transformation since. The whole Hotel has been refurbished to good standard. The rooms are reasonably spacious with the usual small flat screen TV. Our room was to the front of the hotel with a small balcony that had some nice views over some of the towns Trulli’s.
I guess the only thing to be aware of is that the hotel has no assigned parking. There is some street parking outside of the hotel but its limited.
I would agree with the previous review that the breakfast was not special, but at 64 Euro’s a night the Hotel is good value.

We were seven teachers from Czech republic, Latvia and Turkey and were in Alberobello for a European Comenius project meeting for a week. With its friendly atmosphere and fantastic food, Lanzillotta made our stay very relaxable and enjoyable. Thank you to their owners and staff. We would be very pleased to have our next meeting in the same town and of course, at the hotel Lanzillotta.
