Stayed here with a tour group. Wonderful location close to public transporation. 5 miles from the Eiffel Tower. Extremely friendly staff and oversized rooms.

The Citea is not in a great area of Paris. The surroundings area is a little dangerous and graffiti is on most of the buildings. It is about a 20 minute drive to the city center.
The hotel lobby is small but clean, marble floors and a small reception desk.
In the hallways, the carpets were all stained and the walls had holes and black markings everywhere. The appearance is an ugly black and red Asian look to the halls. Red doors with black trim.
The room was very small, one small double bed pushed up against the wall. It was a fairly hard mattress and the television only had 5 channels. The closet was broken and the bathroom was small also. Luckily the room was cleaner than the hallways. I was on the street side and the noise from the major road the hotel is on was quite noisy until about 1 in the morning. OK stay but I think it is possible to find better hotels closer to the city center.
