we stayed for four nights at this hotel. however we were unhappy with the time we had to wait for our meals. and some of the staff were not very helpful. the room we had was ok but the bathroom was shabby. i think this hotel needs some tender loving care and it would be a nice place to stay. it really does need a good refurbish. i wont be going back there.

Shabby is the best word to describe this hotel. I didnt expect much as we had paid ?50 for a double but.....
the decor is terrible. The fire doors slam or creek- not good if your room is nxt to one.
The rooms on the 3rd floor are like a rabbit warren - not sure i would have found my way out had there been a fire.
My room had a bath - no shower and my daughters room stunk of smoke - horrible.
Breakfast was ok though and the 2 lads serving where very pleasant.
Would not stay here again.
Would give it 1 out of 10 ( The 1 is for the breakfast)

Stayed for one night and on that basis it was ok. However I would not stay any longer as the general lack of care and attention would drive me to distraction.
Little things but the kind of stuff that you would think they would have done like proper direction signs to the rooms, light switches that you can't reach from your bed, a kettle that was too large to fill in the sink - that kind of thing.
One real downer was the note on the front door which says hotel is locked at 1130pm and to find at 1045 it was already locked and the bar was closed 'because it had been a quiet night'
Come on guys you run a hotel and quiet ot not the bar should be open on a Saturday night.
Only had breakfast which was adequate.
The building is really nice an typical of this type of seaside accommodation

Not what we expected............. kettle element was green, asked for a new one but never got one. Meals were ok if you liked frozen foods, would have thought we could have had some home cooked meals as it said on the menu. Some mornings toast was warmed bread and we waited 20 minutes between each course, which was annoying when the sun was shining and we wanted to go for an evening walk. Room was ok for two of us, but tatty. Staff were friendly. In my opinion the hotel could do with being refurbished and some new beds.
