We stayed at the Hotel Post for the New Year`s Eve Dinner. We wanted to have a reservation for the Gault Millau-restaurant, but we were not informed about the fact that there was the same food for everyone. Anyway, we accepted that. However, the food was not even standard level, but was inacceptable and even in a canteen you get better food. When we complained about the information policy of the hotel and the quality of the food, the owner of the hotel got very angry and insulted us ("I've never seen such rude guests, everybody is happy except you and you have the gall to complain about the food quality"). Therefore, if you want to spend an enjoyable evening with good service better avoid the restaurants in the Hotel Post and especially their owner. It is a waste of money.

I've stayed at the Post 5 times in the last three years - that has to tell you something. If you are not into staying up real late and partying your brains out, then this is not the place for you. The walls ar pretty thin but the rooms are charming, clean and spacious (by Swiss standards). The best party places in Zermatt are either in the Post, or very close by. A great place for the party minded individual. Food is good, staff great, atmosphere totally unique, a definite favourite.

War schon 5 Mal während der letzten 3 Jahre im Hotel Post – das heißt doch schon was- oder!? Ich bin nicht gerne lange auf und gehe nicht viel auf Partys, dann währen Sie hier auch falsch. Die Wände sind ziemlich dünn, das Zimmer ist aber schön, sauber und geräumig (für den Schweizer Standard). Die besten Plätze um hier Partys zu feiern sind entweder in der Post oder ziemlich in der Nähe. Ein toller Ort für den partyorientierten Urlauber. Das Essen ist gut, die Angestellten klasse und die Atmosphäre einmalig. Mein definitiver Favorit.

The Post is unbelievably fun & funky, and not at all stuffy. Rooms are all unique decorated in a retro-swiss-70s-bear-rug sort of thing. Staff is friendly and down to earth. When I go to ski resort, I go for fun, not white glove treatment of royalty. We stayed on the third floor above all the night-life activity, which is probably the best advice I can give. Bring your spirit, leave with an impression of a lifetime. BEST!

The Hotel Post is a fun and friendly place to stay right in the middle of Zermatt. It can, however, be a bit noisy with Zermatt 's best night haunts in also in the Post Hotel building. The rooms are great, although the Post has lost a little of it's character since the recent management change. So if you're looking for fun place stumbling distance from some great night life the Post is for you. However if you want a good nights sleep then another Hotel might be a better choice.
