We had a romantic weekend in New Orleans, and the hotel was great. The room was a little on the small side, as was the bathroom, but we didn't mind. The pool was great, just what we needed after a hot day exploring the city. Only downside was the neighbors next to us enjoyed their weed on a regular basis, so the hall sometimes reeked!

Loved this hotel! it is not only beautiful but also centrally located in the French Quarter. Be sure to go down the block to K-Pauls for dinner and Brennan's (a block away) for breakfast. This hotel was lovely. the rooms are small but it is all you need if you are touring the Big Easy. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms clean and new. I recommend it highly!!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Omni Royal July 4-7 during the Essence Music Festival. The location is great, service was very good, loved the lobby- very elegant, room service was great as well. We were a bit disappointed with the rooms. Specifically, the linens- the sheets and comforter were very worn; the bathroom was very small and the toilet was one of the older ones you used to see in malls, with the big, metal industrial handle you have to push down to flush. Everytime you flushed there was this very loud WHOOOSH. Also the walls were very thin, we easily heard the couple in the room next to us speaking, and of course, whenever they flushed the toilet. The rooftop pool was very nice. Overall , was it a horrible experience? No. Would I stay here again? Probably not, because there are so many other choices in New Orleans.

My wife and I stayed at the Omni for our tenth wedding anniversary. Normally we stay at another hotel on Bourbon St, but wanted a little quieter place. I booked with the hotels website and got a great rate. They gave us a standard room with two double beds. The room was very nice. I was worried that the room was going to be tiny because all of the reviews, but it was just like any other hotel room (two beds, nightstand, TV with stand and a few drawers, a desk, a nice comfy chair with ottoman and even a closet). We did not eat in the restaurants or order room service. The pool was very nice and the view was spectacular. The people working at the rooftop bar were great! The only think that we could complain about was that there wasn’t a soda machine in the hotel to get a late night drink. One of the other reviews complained of too much water pressure, it is strong, but you will be fine.
The location is great. You are a block from bourbon and a can get to everything by walking. We had a great time and will return.
