We booked one night in the Campanile Senlis because it was close to the airport and we were returning a car and flying out the next morning. The location was just off the A1 and about a 20 minute drive to CDG.
Rick Steves recommended Senlis as a ''pleasant medieval town," which is probably is, but the Campinile Senlis was not within walking distance of the old town.
Rooms were a good size and our bathroom was clean. Advertised as 'non-smoking,' there still was an ashtray, but no smoking odor. Our adult children, two doors down, had a room that reeked of men's cologne/aftershave and cigarette smoke. The beds were comfortable.
We ate dinner in the attached restaurant and the food was good. You could order from the menu or order one of both of the buffets: appetizer buffet and dessert buffet. I personally recommend the "Iles Flottant (Floating island) and the prices were reasonable.
This was definitely a motel chain experience; lots of tourists, including one busload. It was what we expected.
