The Kyriad Hotel is one block from the Old City Hall and City Center. It is on a quiet pedestrian-only street. You can take Tram 1 to the Porte Jaune stop, and then only need to walk a couple ot blocks.
It was a great value, only 71 Euro, which included a terrific buffet breakfast for two. Our room was spacious and so was the bathroom.
There is a free Internet terminal in the lobby and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
For transportation, we purchased a one-day pass for the buses and trams. On weekends the pass is good for 24 hours, so we were able to use it Sunday morning too. The buses and trams go everywhere and often, including the Automobile and Train Museums.

I can recommend this hotel as a very nice, clean, pleasant place to stay. We got a triple room, which was really spacious and nice. The breakfast is great, too, which a very good choice of pastry, fruit, bread, youghurt, etc. The location is probably the most central, right in the middle of the shopping areas, with two great restaurants - one japanese, one chinese, not far away. The staff very pleasant and helpful. The only problem is to find the hotel, with a lot of one way streets, but once you enter through the underground parking ( if with the car), you are fine. I can recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice hotel, in an excellent location (a little difficult to find by car on a rainy night) and very nice clean room.
The front desk was very nice to point me a fantastic restaurant (you pay for it) that was open very late at night. I had a pleasant dinner and returned to my comfy room. The next day I decided to have breakfast in one of the many bakeries around the hotel.
Possibly the best choice in Mulhouse.

Good hotel in great location

We chose to stay in this hotel based on the reviews at this website and we were not disappointed. This hotel Kyriad centre is probably one of the cheapest hotels we've stayed at, and the nicest for that price.
We took the most expensive type room (privilege) which cost € 73,-, excluding breakfast. The room was very large, the bathroom huge and there was a balcony with wooden table/chairs. The room has a/c, the beds are comfy, everything was very clean. Staff at reception are very helpful, in the lobby there's a computer with free internet use.
Breakfast is served at the 3rd floor and is average (€ 7,50). Just across the hotel is restaurant Paul which serves very nice food (breakfast too) and great coffee (and the cappuccino is the real thing with milk in stead of whipped cream); it's closed on Sunday.
There is a public car park underneath the hotel (Maréchaux), but no private parking. The hotel is right in the centre of Mulhouse, which is one of the best things about this hotel.
