This is a clean and comfortable hotel in a great location- we had a nice view of the square and were just steps away from the palais. We were looking for a triple bedded room for our family and this property provided that at a great value. The staff was helpful and friendly. Even allowed us to leave our baggage while we wandered around before our train. Perfect for our quick stop in Avignon.

Watch your valuables. Otherwise a good choice.

Would have rated the hotel above average except for the fact that I was ripped off of a SONY Mp3 player and a small Grundig AM/FM/SW radio from my luggage. DO NOT leave anything of value in your room because the shady housekeeping staff is sure to find and keep it. Otherwise a good choice.

Unbeatable location in the Place de l'Horloge and very good value for money. Palais de Papes a few steps away just around the corner.
Chain hotel, average quality, clean and tidy rooms - nothing flash but nothing wrong either. Average sized room, can do triple/quad rooms without rollaways, which was a bonus for us.
Helpful staff, nice breakfast. Not much character, but it's location and price more than made up for that that.

The hotel is perfectly located opposite the Hotel de Ville and less than a 100 metres to the Palace in the main square of the town. The hotel itself was OK with no exceptional features, but few obvious faults apart from a small lift. As a base for exploring the town it is ideal and represents good value for money to a budget traveller, but not to those who like a bit of luxury. The staff at reception were polite and efficient and we had no problems with the cleanliness of the rooms.

This hotel is perfectly located in the center of everything and a stone's throw from the Palais des Papes and all of the action. We happened to arrive on the summer solstice, and there was a huge music festival going on throughout town, with bands on every corner. It was fabulous. The hotel room was not perfect - we were suprised to find two twin beds, but we managed to push them together.
Like the last reviewer, we also stayed in room 55 - avoid it in the summer. The air conditioning is not good enough to cool the room off when it's hot outside - it was actually cooler outside than it was in the room, and it made it difficult to relax comfortably in there. Don't expect too many ammenities, either - there is one iron for the entire hotel.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place despite the tired condition of the room!
