I booked through hotels.com but in reality it is better to book direct. The staff wonderful. Especially Jackie. The rooms are great. Even though there was some minor construction going on it was not to loud nor did it interfere with any activity. I can't wait for my next trip to Key West.

I know I'm writing this review almost a year after I stayed there, but I just had such a great experience that I have to share. Our room was beautiful. It didn't have the best water view, but we did get to see Mallory Square which had excellent people watching. The balcony was small, but comfortable for two people. Also, the bathroom was really nice AND spacious, which is always a plus when getting ready--especially a priss like me. As for location, you just can't beat it. We walked EVERYWHERE. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant upstairs, The Hot Tin Roof, was wonderful. We ate breakfast there every morning. Also, the chef came out and made us an appetizer that wasn't on the menu and I loved it. I don't know if I'm biased though, because I didn't know it, but my fiance had planned the trip to propose to me. I just thought we were taking a mini-vacation. At the time that we went, the elevator was HOT but hopefully that has been taken care of. That was our only real gripe about the place.

The Ocean Key is a wonderful hotel at the end of Duval Street. We had a Junior Suite which was a nice size, comfy beds with a great view of the ocean. Special mention to Carl on the front desk who was always very attentive and friendly - he definitely contributed to making our stay as great as it was. Really couldn't fault this place. Will definitely visit again.

We stayed at the Ocean Key over July 4th weekend for 3 nights. The location is amazing (right at the very end of Duvall Street by the water), and everything is within arm's reach. We did not have a car - just walked everywhere. You can also rent bicycles, scooters, or electric cars. The hotel was very romantic and service was great. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was cleaned every morning and then again in the evening, just in time for bed! Had breakfast at the Hot Tin Roof, and it was delicious. The concierge also helped us book an all day cruise/adventure trip through Fury - which was tons of fun and a great deal. I definitely recommend it, as it comes with food and we got to go snorkeling, jet-skiing, and parasailing!
