We had to stay in the South Tower, which I think is the older building, due to the Cards vs. Cubs game on July 5th. We knew this would be a very busy weekend, but we were there for the game and knew we would be too intoxicated to drive to a hotel after the game and after hitting the bars on the Landing. However, I have to agree with other reviewers when they say this is a total "party" hotel. A lot of drunks were there because of the game, which didn't bother us because we were drunk also. No one was acting unruly though. But we are also a young couple and older visitors might feel differently.
You can tell the hotel managers don't care to clean or maintain or even update the rooms as much because it will just get torn up and they know people will stay because of it's location.
Our room was really outdated and dingy even though it was non-smoking. Our a/c didn't do much and our carpet seems damp. Our shower facet broke, and the bathroom was just nasty.
The only way I would recommend this hotel is if you are planning on going to the game and getting drunk. Other than that, I would even pay more to drive a mile or 2 down the road for a nicer hotel. BTW, we paid $260/night, but it was last minute and on the 4th of July weekend during the biggest Cards game of the year. My brother is considering a wedding reception in April here or the Lumiere, I think I'll recommend the Casino Hotel. We stopped in there and it was incredible. Or I will make sure he saves a block of rooms in the newer tower and I'll even pay for the upgrade.

I want to start off by saying, I hardly ever write a review good or bad about a place but I had to write one this time. The hotel staff is very nice, polite and professional. No Problems there. The real problem was the pictures that Hotels.com has on it's website of this charming hotel with beautiful rooms which are totally wrong. We booked a stay in July 2008 and stayed one night with two adults and 2 small children. The room they put us in was so small that even if it was just my wife and I, it would of been too small. I had to crawl over the bed to get to the bathroom at night. The ceiling was pieling paint and dropping on us during the night. The carpet was ripped all throughout the rooms and the shower head was coming out of the wall. Not to mention, in the morning while my wife was taking a shower, the water pressure went to just dripping out of the faucet head. We payed over $113.00 for the room and the price card on the door stated the room normally cost $229.00 for two guest. Definately not worth $229 or even $113 for the night. Hotels.com doesnt offer a refund so we were stuck paying and staying or losing out on $113. All in all, if they could take the staff and put them in another hotel, it would of been a pleasant expericence instead, we were very disappointed.
Blah - surprisingly bland hotel

The website for Millenium Hotel led me to believe it was a very nice place. It's really not. We stayed in the south tower, which is only 10 floors high (the north tower is featured on the website photos). Upon checking in, we were told that our room wasn't ready in the north tower (they were still turning over rooms at 7:15 pm), but that they would put us in the south tower, and upgrade us to a king sized bed, instead of queen. But the room left a lot to be desired - the bedding wasn't tucked in tightly (the bottom sheets felt like they were one good kick away from getting loose from the mattress). The shower head sent out a a harsh spray of water, and the water pressure was sometimes good, and sometimes bad.
We felt like we were getting a good deal for $120 on a busy Saturday night in downtown St. Louis, but it wasn't. I would encourage people to pay an extra few dollars and find a better place. The only good thing about the hotel was its location.

Attending a Shriners convention so the hotel was full. We had a great view of the Arch through our dirty windows. The room has newer modern furiture but the rooms are small and old looking. Bathroom is small and closet to hang clothes is also located in the bathroom.
Wired internet is provided at a cost of $9.95 per 24 hour period. The outdoor pool was very dirty and after a couple of days it was drained and refilled. The ice machines were only on two floors.
For a hotel with a great view, the price for the room was reasonable, I am bothered by the high parking and internet fees.
For a downtown hotel you had to walk two or three blocks to find alternate restaurants.
We had breakfast at the hotel and was an excellent buffet at a reasonable price.
I don't plan to go back, not because the hotel but mainly the location. Downtown is dirty with unine smells in many places in the core. Many guests smoking outside the main front door.

My Husband and I stayed for 4 days at this hotel and after reading the reviews we were wondering what we were getting into ,but our stay was great as we were in the larger tower which is much better than the smaller one .
Our room was very clean , large and we had a wonderful view of the Arch and from the hotel you could get any where .
We would definitely stay there again
