Nice Hotel
GREAT ROOMS! the bathroom and beds were both 5 star
The hotel does not have a fitness facility or a pool...so I am not sure why it received 4 stars.
This is in a Great Location in Chicago....across from the Drake, but there were other many other hotels nearby....Hilton Suites was next door, Residence Inn across from there and the Rafello a block away.....
the room and the staff were what set this property apart!
I would stay there again! Paid $140 on Hotwire $166 with tax and then $48 for parking (standard in this part of Chicago!)
All in all not a bad experience, but would consider other hotels close by next time I visit Chicago

Had never used Hotwire before - nice experience ending up at the Knickerbocker for good price. Our ONLY negative was we were awakened at 8am by renovation work on room close to ours. Wonderful Consierge though - beautiful but small room.
Disappointed in the evening staff

Arrived to check in at 6:00PM. I was traveling with 2 other people and had reserved a room with double beds. Upon arrival we were told no rooms with double beds were available; however, we would be given a suite with 1 king bed and a couch which folds out into a bed. We agreed. The room had one king bed, was not a suite, and had no couch. When I called reception (and spoke with the same employee), she said no suites were available. They brought up a rollaway bed which was small and very uncomforable. I spoke with the doorman about valet parking ($48 per day) and asked if someone would bring up our luggage which was in the back of the car. He agreed they would. After waiting nearly an hour, I returned to the lobby and spoke with the bellhop. He did not have our luggage. It had been left in the car and sent to the garage! Another 20 minutes later, we had receiv ed our luggage and missed part of an event for which we had purchased tickets. To be fair, staff on other shifts were very friendly and helpful.

Millennium Knickerbocker exceeded my expectations. Yes, I asked for a renovated room. I was told that all rooms were now renovated. I asked if an upgrade was possible since I was staying for 6 nights. They were able to accomodate and we got a mini-suite-new, clean barely used. The first room we saw was also renovated but was a standard room, good but not large. If all rooms are indeed renovated this hotel is above average and located in a great area, just off the truly Maginificent Mile.

This is a great old hotel. The rooms are small as you see in all historic hotels, but it has a lot of charm, a happening bar, and a wonderful location. This is a great place for a romanatic Chicago getaway.
