We were in Munich for less than 24 hours. This hotel was so good we nearly didn't do any sightseeing. It started with the rooftop pool, which we had all to ourselves in the early evening in late June. Swimming as the sun set on the Munich skyline was magical. You can get light meals right next to the pool, so we had dinner in our bathrobes -- how decadent! As other reviewers have mentioned, the superior room is generously sized, especially the bathroom. We liked everything about it except for the fact that the king sized bed was really two singles pushed together. That's normal in Europe, but I wish Mandarin Oriental had broken the mold and invested in real king-sized beds. Service throughout the hotel was exemplary. The staff appeared to like their work. This was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in, and we'll definitely return.

Definitely one of the best hotels I have stayed. Great hospitality and excellent personal attention. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated with top of the line equipment. And last, but not least, you are within walking distance to whatever you might want to see in the centre.

Hands down, this is the best hotel. Very professional and personable. Always attended your needs and very accomodating. Perfect hotel as far as i'am concerned. Best hotel in the world by far. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

I just came back from the Mandarin in Munich. Unbelievable luxury and service in a great location near everything downtown. Regular rooms are of suite size - including a walk-in closet, sitting area and desk area and king-size beds. Nice Bang and Olufsen tv/dvd/cd system as well as a flat screen tv in the bathroom (surprisingly useful!) Wonderfully comfortable bedding - huge down pillows and extremely nice duvet. Nice small touches - sea salts for your bath, fruit provided to you every day, minibar included plus usual five star amenities like bathrobes, slippers, shoe shine service, newspapers etc. Unbelievable service - I had some small problems with my television and it was handled amazingly. They will also go the extra mile - will provide food for pets, and Playstations for kids. Overall, a great stay - you won't want to leave the room!!

My husband and I were only able to stay one night but we would've loved to stay more! The service is impeccable. Once we checked in the receptionist walked us to our hotel room and showed us around. Everyone was nice and helpful. The room had a high ceiling which makes the room more spacious looking and all the furnishings were new as the hotel has just finished renovating. It was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. This is close to the Hong Kong Peninsula Hotel. It was just an amazing experience. The pool was on the rooftop and wasn't large but it was nice and there was an outdoor restaurant upstairs that we had some great salads and drinks. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone. It can be pricey but worth every penny! There is no spa though ... That would've been my only wish and it would've been a dream hotel!
