me: Hi, can I please have some extra hotel bottled water
front desk: Yes, how many would you like
me: Three (they're small and it was hot)
front desk: Uh, we can give you two
me: Then why did you ask?
front desk: Thank you

That's how it all started and it got worse.
The hotel is being rennovated starting with the outside (which they didnt' tell ANYONE during booking) and the chemical smells are choking.
It's time for the inside to be repaired next. The magic "turn off on you while showering" shower, the water-stained carpets and the barren guest rooms were low-lights.
From my other reviews I hope my fellow travellers can tell I am pretty easy going and can find positives just about anywhere, but this place was an overpriced DUMP. The breakfast was lousy- how do screw up BREAKFAST?
There's a Louis Vouitton store in the lobby and they should rethink they're lease.
Blech.

The Marco Polo is well located on the edge of a man-made lake in the city. It is slightly jaded, having been around for about ten years, but is, generally, ok. Rooms fairly comfortable, public areas quite acceptable. Breakfast is awful! Cold, poor quality food and absolutely chaotic service. Rates are rather expensive for the standards it offers.
