Had my Hotel booked through Costco. This was by far the worse hotel we used. I have stayed at Le Meriden Hotels in Nice, Cancun before. This hotel was by far the worse. I was given a non-smoking room that smell of smoke. I got it changed. The lobby was busy with people using their Laptops. No a great place to mingle with naitives or even travelers. Had one porter in the front. You get the impression you are staying at a Hotel that has no class.

Having read previous reviews, we were a little skeptical. Since our follow-on tour was booked for this hotel we opted for a personal four day stay prior to the tour. We were very satisfied with this hotel. It still had some renovations going on in the lobby but this was not a major problem. Staff was courteous and accommodating ... even had our room ready before checkin time since we arrived early in the morning. Concierge service was excellent. We liked the location... area is safe with ATMs, the metro and many nice restaurants within walking distance. There are many interesting places to visit on the left bank as well that are easily accessible by metro. We would definitely stay at this hotel inthe future.

I have read a lot bad reviews on trip adviser site...
I was a a little bit afaraid before i visit this hotel...
My only complain is that receptor wants to get all money for stay before (she or he) gave You key of the room.
She/or He treats You like you would be criminal or thief...

warning!!! don t park your car in front the hotel... the police will take your car a long way off... price 170 euro

This was one of 5 hotels booked via Priceline on a tour of Europe, and by far the worst. I would never recommend this place to anyone!
We'd been concerned by the previous reviews before arriving, but seeing the plush lobby area thought things were looking up. Unfortunately not. We were allocated one of the old rooms, which immediately rang alarm bells: a hotel which hasn't updated it's rooms since c.1983 obviously has something seriously wrong going on.
The main concern however is the sheer filth. Reception staff were superb and extremely helpful, moving us quickly into an upgraded (and clean!) room (albeit still with the orange 80s decor), when we complained about the urine stained toilet seat, heavily mildewed/soap scum coated shower curtain and skanky old limescale coating the taps of our original room. This is the kind of standard I'd expect from a dodgy youth hostel, not a supposed 4 star hotel. Unfortunately it was too little too late, and we would not visit a Le Meridien again.
The hotel is conveniently located close to Montparnasse station, so it's easy to travel around Paris, however the immediate area is pretty grotty, with a lot of beggars and homeless people hanging around. Would definitely recommend a stroll down to the Rue Daguerre area nearby though, for some great local bars, restaurants and shops.
