Stayed for 3 nights in October 06. Comfortable and very convenient, next to St Denis metro stop. Hotel staff friendly & unobtrusive. Continetal breakfast was adequate, though small dining area. We had a corner room on the top floor, spacious, well decorated, clean and modern en-suite. Great room for people watching on the street below, including the prostitutes in the lane opposite! Though reading previous reviews it seems to be a bit hit or miss with room quality and size. Would recommend this hotel due to the convenient location and we had no faults.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 20 nights. Our room (#32) was large by Paris standards with a large bed. The hotel is clean and tidy but what made me want to recommend it is the staff. From front desk to cleaning staff they were helpful and friendly. The daytime weekday front desk staff were fluent in English and the week-end and evening staff were passable.The hotel is around the corner from a Metro station and across the street from a good grocery store. There are many restaurants and cafes in the area. We will definitely stay there on our next trip.

I booked a room in August 2007 at this hotel via the Best Western website. When I arrived I was told that the hotel was overbooked because of 'an internet problem' and that a room had instead been reserved for me in the Hotel Mercedes in the 17th, nowhere near the hotel I had booked. After I protested, and after almost an hour of waiting, the receptionist arranged a room for me at the nearby Hotel Paix at Republique. The location of this alternative was fine, but the quality of the hotel was very poor and all of this caused significant disruption to my plans. We all accept that overbooking can happen but the lack of care and the very poor alternative offered by the hotel in these circumstances was totally unacceptable, particularly as it would seem from earlier reviews that overbooking is an ongoing problem at the Best Western France Europe. I have never had a particularly good experience with Best Western and this will now be the last time I reserve with this brand.

A part le lit qui était un peu trop petit pour deux personnes , l'hôtel est très propre, calme et centré. Le petit déjeuner n 'est pas trop mal. Pour le prix c 'est un bon hôtel.

I just came back from Paris and had an excellent time at the hotel. I stayed there for one week. It was a nice size room (we had 2 twin beds) with an in-suite bathroom. Staff was helpful but didn't know much about the area. They were very willing however, to help us find places where we knew the addresses. As mentioned in another review, the hotel is about a block and a half away from a Metro stop. If you stay here, bring a washcloth/facecloth as they only provide a hand towel and a bath towel. Also bring an iron. The room does have a small refrigerator. Don't bother going to the hotel's breakfast; there is a Monoprix about 2 blocks away that serves great pastry and is a small department/supermarket. The hotel does have a small elevator. I would stay here again or in another Best Western hotel.
