There have to be better hotels than this, I can't believe it is a Marriott. The staff was friendly, however, when we took our key and headed off to the room the walk never ended, I am not kidding, we walked forever, it seemed like a one level motel with 1000 rooms. When we did get to the room and it was two beds when we reserved one king (our reservation showed King confirmed) we opted not to walk the mile back to the front desk to change rooms. After settling in and getting to bed, sure enough, the train went by right outside our window just as a previous reviewer noted. Would try another hotel next time, fortunately we only spent $89.00, they really showed change the name to the Marriott Motel Ontario Airport, it describes better what you are in for. On the good side, the room was clean and the shuttle was prompt.

I have no idea why there are so many negative reviews posted here. I've stayed three times now, once in April of 2007, and twice in March of 2008. Nice, friendly staff, clean hotel, all of the amenities I'm used to seeing in quality hotels.
The room was quiet. No train, no aircraft noise keeping me awake. The windows appear to have double or triple panes.
On my third stay, the ice machine in wing I stayed in was out of order. I called the front desk, and they sent a bucket of ice up within ten minutes. I then left the room and saw a maintenance man working on the ice machine. (all within 15 minutes) They have computers set up to pring boarding passes free for guests. On my third stay, the computers weren't working so the front desk printed my pass for me.
The restaurants on site are overpriced, but the food at the E-Street Bar and Grille is good. (these restuarants aren't operated by the Marriott)

The Marriott is a nice hotel, but it fancies itself better than it is. We were placed there by priceline, originally requesting a 2.5 star hotel instead of the 3 star Marriott. It seemed nice enough and a good deal at first, but additional charges popped up frequently.
There is free WiFi internet in the lobby, but internet in your room costs an additional $10-11 per day. Parking, even for those staying at the hotel, also costs around $11 a day. There is no complimentary breakfast. The hotel restaurant was okay, but little better than eating at a chain restaurant like Friday's, etc. Walking around and eating at a Mom & Pop operation with local color proved more rewarding.
Pluses: The bed was comfy and the fitness center was excellent, with 3 racquetball courts, weights, cardio...
Silliest/Worst: When we booked, the site stated that pets were allowed. We brought our cat along and an hour after checking in found we could not get back into our room. We went to the desk and found a sneering clerk who pointed out that we had a cat in our room. I said yes, pointing out that the website said pets were okay, and that it was a quiet, well-behaved animal. He told me that pets were not allowed, we had to remove it immediately, we were to receive a $250 surcharge, and that the neighbors were complaining about the noise (the last being a laughable lie as the cat is quiet and no one ever complained about lots of real noise we made).
I was accompanied by security to the room to remove the cat, the best part being that they arranged the door bolt such that the door was forced ajar. Here we are, a couple of university professors with a cat, and they were acting as if we were setting up a meth lab. I took the cat to my in-laws and the hotel later apologized that official hotel policy was "no pets" acknowledging that the priceline website had erroneously stated pets were welcome. I didn't have time to read all the hotel policies, but was looking over my shoulder the rest of the visit should a body cavity search be next.

I stayed at the Ontario Airport Marriott in August and was surprised how comfortable and updated the rooms were. New, updated bedding; very large desk; comfortable arm chair with ottoman; separate "wet bar" area; large selection of magazines in the room; every toiletry imaginable available. The sink area just outside the bathroom. The actual room with the toilet and tub was very dated compared to the rest of the room - but it was clean and got the job done. I am usually a clean freak and the first thing I check is how clean the room is. I could not find a speck of dust or dirt. I was very impressed.
Location is great if you need to use the airport. It is only a minute or two from the main entrance. There is a great sandwich shop in the hotel with sandwiches made while you wait by very friendly staff (and they don't skimp on the meat!). The pool is very large and well maintained. It was a bit noisy -- but you're net to the airport so what do you expect? There was also a gift/sundry shop in the hotel with any last minute items you might need.
My only negative feedback is the front desk staff did not seem very happy. Not one smile. When I asked questions I felt like I was interrupting. However, they weren't rude and they answered all my questions. But lighten up a little!
Also - the public areas of the hotel are dated. They are clean, but look like an old Chi-Chi's restuarant (cream colored stucco, wood trim, etc.).
Overall -- very clean, comfy room and great location if you need to use Ontario airport. Would definitely stay again.
