Overall good experience

Basic room but it was quiet and clean. Good indoor, outdoor pool. Excellent breakfast that was included in our room package. It usually gives you the breakfast buffet (which was very good). One day we came down later than the buffet, and they let us order anything off the breakfast menu. Since they have a Midwest steak and eggs, it was quite expensive, but it was all free. That was an excellent deal.
Great exercise room.
I hate how hotels in this range charge for internet access!
TIred hotel with good (not great) service

I've stayed at the Omaha Marriott several times over the last few months. This is a tired hotel with dated furnishings, and very used rooms/common areas.
Rooms:
+ Standard comfortable Marriott beds
+ Functional desk with wired internet & handy plugs
+ Standard sized Marriott room
- VERY worn bathroom. The bathtub in one of the rooms I stayed in was chipping/rusting. The tile in each room I've stayed in is old, with mildew stains in the grout.
Expect a standard sized dated & worn room.
Service:
+ Front desk folks are capable and helpful.
+ Enjoyed the (free) coffee cart in the morning
+ The (complimentary) champaign in the lobby in the evenings is a great touch - not exactly pouring the Dom P, but nice.
+ Restaurant staff were great.
- Housekeeping. . . . My rooms were usually clean enough. I looked behind the nightstand one night trying to find an electrical outlet and found mound of dusty, hairy gook. So - don't look too hard and the room will appear clean.
- In-room Coffee/Tea not replaced unless you ask.
- One stay, my room had a used washcloth in the shower & a granola bar wrapper on the chair. I complained & received 5000 Marriot points and a smile (guess this stuff happens all the time).
Expect frendly, capable service from the front desk & inconsistent housekeeping.
Facilities:
+ The gym was small & lacking in the weight department. Treadmills with individual TVs were good.
+ Indoor pool seemed OK (I didn't use).
- Restaurant/Bar area appeared to have been built in the 60s. Old & used (like the hotel), and absolutely devoid of any ambiance.
Food:
+ The food was suprisingly OK in the "Chop House." Exceeded my (low) expectations & the price, for a hotel, was reasonable. The wine list was also suprisingly OK, with reasonable prices.
TIP: The Bonefish Grill across the street is a much more pleasant place for a meal. Similar price, better food, and much better atmosphere.

We have just returned from a weekend at the Omaha Marriott. The hotel is excellent and the staff is the best I have encountered outside of Disneyland. The staff was very friendly and was more than willing to help at any time. The kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool and I enjoyed being able to sit on the outside pool deck surrounded by trees and grass.
The hotel is centrally located to the whole city and being close to the major roads of Omaha made getting around town very easy. The front desk supplied excellent directions.
The restaurant, The Omaha Chophouse, had a great variety on the menu and was reasonably priced. I thought the steaks were pricey, but it was one of the best I have ever had and was well worth the price.
We paid $129 per night which included breakfast. The waffle/omelet cooker was great, interacted with the kids and asked on the second morning how our trip to the zoo was the day before. – That’s service!! The bed was so comfortable. I usually don’t sleep well away from home, but I had no problems this weekend. The room was very clean. The bathroom needs updating but was definitely clean.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay and plan to return anytime we come to Omaha. Maybe not the closest to zoo (but nothing is) or the Old Market. But some great shopping right across the street. And what does it matter if you need to drive 1 mile or 8 miles to get where you want to go. Especially since Omaha really has no traffic

I thought I was reading the review of another hotel. I had to check I was on the right hotel. My stay at the Marriot was wicked. The room was wonderful, the service excellent and the food in the restuarant was equally excellent. The staff were polite and very helpful. My only downside was a fire alarm in the middle of the night. and according to my collegues - and this is our corporate hotel - this is a regular occurance. The bed in my room was amazing. so comfortable.

We stayed for a weekend at this hotel and while it was descent, it was out of the way from the attractions we were trying to see and it was right off of the highway so the noise was a bit distrubing.
The beds were not comfortable at all and the rooms were a little small considering the price. The rooms were neat and tidy however. The staff was excellent and very helpful with directions. The onsite resturants were a bit on the pricey side which made is so that we left the property yet again in order to have our needs met. If I had it to do over again I would have chosen a different hotel for the type of weekend we were hoping to have. Overall the stay was comfortable.
