im very fond of marriott hotels and this hotel in no exception. Except for one fact my check in experience was not soo good as was any experience with the front desk agents. They always seemed to have an additude and be rude when asked simple questions almost as if we were bothering them with silly questions. first time i stayed there had a wonderful experience and was hoping for the same the second time around but was dissapointed with the additude we recieved..

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week during work and play. The employees were very courteous and promptly took care of me when my keycard wouldn't work, or we just had a question. The valet parkers were always on their toes and very polite to everyone. Our room was cleaned beautifully everyday and the bed was very comfortable. This was a perfect stay for my first time in Hawaii. I would love to go again very soon.

I've stayed in this hotel three times. Once, I was in the tower farther away from the beach, and twice I was in the tower closer to the beach. I got a partial ocean view room when I was in the tower closer to the beach. I enjoyed the views a lot, particularly early in the morning and late at night. The rooms are not luxurious, but they are very nice---perfectly comfortable and pleasant. The hotel restaurants are OK, but not at all exciting; however, there are many eating establishments within walking distance. This hotel is certainly not in the same category as, say, the Royal Hawaii or the nearby Moana Surfrider, but I found this to be a very good value for my money. I would definitely return.

In may of 2008 my boyfriend and took a nice vacation to honolulu and stayed at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa. We had a wonderful time and the hotel was beautiful. However, we noticed a few small bites on our back and arms when we woke up one morning. We didn't think much of it at first. We just assumed that they were mosquito bites. But every night that we stayed there we were waking up with these small bites in different places on our bodies. When we got back home and unpacked I noticed a bug in my suitcase. I killed it immediately! And once again I didn't think much of it. After a few nights of sleeping in our own bed I noticed that we were still getting these bites all over. I saw my physician and he said that they were bed bug bites. I was very disgusted and upset. Because now this meant that I have brought these bugs from the hotel into my home. And now after spending hundreds of dollars on exterminators and pest control I have decided to write a review on this hotel so that others may know what really lies beneath all the beauty!!!!

Stayed for 3 nights over the 4th of July weekend and had a great stay. Booked Oahu-Maui package through Pleasant Holidays. Requested an upper level odd numbered room on an upper floor at the advice of those on this site and it was great. View from the Lanai was spectacular for the fireworks. Even numbered rooms face Diamond Head odd the beach. Large room with flat screen TV, nice size Lanai and bathroom, very quiet and comfortable beds.
Staff was very accomodating with our requests. Pool area and fitness area were nice. Nice setup with open air feel to it even though it is a large hotel. Only complaint is that those arriving by shuttle, cab. etc. are dropped off at an entrance pretty far from the main desk and the porters are located at the front desk so you have to haul your luggage to there. After carrying it that far I was not about to have them take it to the elevator.
Breakfast was included in our package and was good but not worth the $26 price tag. Hed dinner at Sansei restaurant at the hotel it was excellent!!! Early bird special at 25% off a good deal. They also have a late nite special 50% off.
One other feature I liked was being able to rent car from Hertz on site. Picked it up at 7:00am and returned it whenever I wanted before 7:00am the next morning (drop off box). Paid $60 for the day for full size but asked for and received a convertible instead.
Glad to answer any questions
