Booked 2 rooms through priceline since we have 2 teenagers and didn't want to risk being too cramped. Got them for $75 each. Once we saw the rooms we realized we could have been comfortable enough in one room since we were ther to shop and see Cubs and just use the room for sleeping. Staff was great, rooms were nice, elevators were quick. You can't beat the location, we walked to everything for shopping and food and only 2 blocks to subway and 25 minute ride to Wrigley. we played cards in the lobby at night, plenty of room. We asked about self parking when we arrived for $26/day and just across the street with in and out access. We were very happy with our stay! Beds were great.

This hotel is better than what other reviewers have written.
I am a single guy in my 30s. I stayed 2 nights at the hotel with a guest. We had a King Room on the top floor that I booked via Priceline and payed little over 1/2 of what the regular rate was each night.
I valet my car, and $39 is a little pricey for that, but not so much when you are in a large city, and the time frame didnt take any longer than it does for any other hotel. The elevators too aren't the fastest, but it never got so bad that I decided I would walk up 46 flight like the one reviewer claimed he did ! (Seriously, does anyone believe that?)
Upon check in I asked for a room away from the elevators since a lot of people complained that those rooms were noisy. The front desk was very accomdating and gave me a nice quite room. Yes, I could hear traffic noises, like a siren hear or there, but it wasnt like I didnt know that I was in an urban enviornment! You come to a big city you are going to have certain things just like if you went to the country!
The room iteself was a little small, but that is what you get in larger cities. I am ok with. I enjoyed the city and its attractions, and didnt spend every hour in my room. Chicago has a lot to do and see - take advantage of it. Although, I did stay in that hotel a few years ago and the rooms were larger! I found it odd that the TV was not flat screen, but was ok with it.
The bed was nice and the pillow choices were good too. The bathroom isnt the biggest and one reviewer mentioned that they had to shut the door to use the toliet and shower. Well, I would hope so that you would shut the door to use the bathroom.
The indoor pool and hot tub is nice, I wish it stayed open a little longer since I was out all day long and didnt get back until 10 at night, and it closes at 11. It seemed to be less crowded early in the mornings. Lots of cardio equipment and the locker rooms have a steam room.
The best part is the location. Close to everything. Almost dead center to everything you want to do on North Michigan Avenue and South Michigan Ave.
All of the staff that I encountered was very nice, and the hotel uses Bath and Body Works products.

I stayed at this hotel last week for a conference. Working in the travel industry myself, I find myself pretty critical of hotels. This Marriott was a pleasant surprise - they have been recently renovated. The lobby was beautiful, the conference rooms were well maintained and the sleeping room had modern decor and was very clean. The best thing about my stay was the staff. Everyone from the bellmen to the front desk staff to the room service staff was outgoing and seemed genuinely happy to have me as their guest. I would recommend this hotel!

I had to stay at this Marriott for a conference and after reading some of the negative reviews, I confess I was apprehensive. But the hotel pleasantly surprised me.
From the moment I checked in, the staff could not have been friendlier nor more helpful. And my room was spacious, at least according to some of the rooms in NYC that I've stayed. It looks freshly redecorated and the linens were great.
The location is perfect - you're in the heart of the Chicago downtown, next to Nordstroms, Saks and others shopping icons.
And if you're into fitness, they have a great gym and pool. I managed to get in a workout and then go shop after my conference.
I would highly recommend the hotel.
