I quite like this hotel as a base when I'm in Cebu. We've been here many times, and would return again. It's a little pricey, although I think it's worth it.
Good rooms, execellent service, comfortable beds. A very nice hotel to unwind in, and one where I always felt safe (better too much security than the opposite...)
If you're staying here and looking for somewhere to eat, I'd suggest Cafe Laguna - a very short walk away. Also close to Ayala Shopping Mall, which has its benefits when you're lugging all your shopping back to your room!!!

The Marriot is located near Alyaya shopping mall… What’s strange is the Phillipines is that the driver told me , we’re almost here… and we were in some kind of favellas… but suddenly it was all sky scrapers and it was ok! No transition…
The Marriot is a bit old … it looks like late 70’s, early 80’s. But the rooms are ok, I guess they were refurbished in the late 90’s.
The Bed is confy… the bathroom is clean… I just hated the tube though, it was not deep at all, it was just ok for a shower, certainly not to bath.
The restaurant buffet for both dinner & breakfast is really nice, I’d recommend it… not like there are many other alternative in the area except alyaya fast food places : )
The pool side is nice (keep in mind it’s not a resort, this hotel is in the center of the city… I repeat it’s NOT a resort, so if you want a resort place go to Mactan Island).
Please note there are majors construction work at the moment in the alyaya center so if you don’t like noise, avoid the Marriot for the time being!
Prices are really cheap, so if you need a convenient Cebu City Centre hotel, go for Marriot.

This place just amazes me. We stayed one night. Room was perfect, comfortable and cozy. Pool is open till 11pm was great. Did not eat there and free car parking too. Security is good too. This is the 4th time here at the Marriott.

We have just returned from another wonderful saty at the Cebu Marriott. We have been visiting Cebu for over 10years and for the past five years the Marriott has been home for December and January. The staff always make us feel welcome nothing is to much trouble.
Make sure you spend some time in the lobby lounge where the talented Jorge and team will look after you and you will be entertained by the great music from Irene and Donny.
Well done Roy and team, we look forward to seeing you again in December.
