Decided to end my trip to Aus with some comfort and luxury. The Marriott delivered on both counts. My room over looking the river was fantastic, a bed you could loose yourself in amoungst all the pillows. Room service was prompt, the breakfast menu was varied and the food was good quality. The hotel is situated very central, and gives good value for money.

This is a nice hotel, with nice swimming pool and very interesting breakfast buffet.
The hotel has not a central location but still not bad ...
We liked our stay in this hotel.

As business hotels go, this one is very good. It is right in the centre of Brisbane, close to to the main CBD.
Rooms are 5* standard. The pool and sauna area is very nice (kind of outdoors). Didn't eat here, but the restaurant looked very good, and was always busy.
I will stay here next time I go to Brisbane.

We thought the Marriott was an ok 5 star hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, and compensated us for any little mistakes. We felt that the rooms were spotless and maintained well. The elevators were very slow however to the point where we kept getting a little nervous about taking them. The bed was comfortable and the hotel had great cable stations . Brisbane was beautiful and the Marriott was in a good location to catch the River Cat or ferry to explore th e rest of town. Please be aware of the hospitality of Brisbane restaurants however. We had a shocking experience at the Steak and Crab Restaurant in Eagle Street called Kingsleys. Do not eat here if you would like a pleasant time as the staff are rude and have no knowledge of the menu and what it takes to do their job. The menu said they are about to open in Melbourne - very laughable. Back to the Marriott, it was a nice hotel to come back to after a hard days work. Good business hotel and lovely pool area.

Just returned from celebrating our wedding anniversary at teh Marriott. Location is great, very clsoe by foot or city cat ferry to all attractions, but quiet too.
Our room was ready upon our early check in (11am) and we were given an upgrade to a river view room. After check in, we left our bags in the room and asked the conceirge- very helpful man named Lloyd- for directions to explore the city. He was extremely helpful giving us maps and timetables. Upon our return to the hotel, there was a bottle of champagne and box of chocolates waiting for us, along with a card to wish us a happy anniversary. Very nice touch. We then went to the pool area- very nice area located on the 4th floor of hotel, only complaint was the temperature was set to FREEZING! After a relax by the pool, we got ready for dinner. Again the service was fantastic, but the food unfortunately was average. It was seafood buffet night. Don;t get me wrong, if you were eating in a normal restaurant, you would probably think the food was good, but it was average for the marriott. After dinner, we were dgiven a lovely dessert plate with happy anniversary, another nice touch, and all this just by mentioning our anniversary when booking.
Breakfast the next day was very good.
Room was lovely, very comfy bed, excellent pillows and lovely marble bathroom. View was very good too.
Would recommend this hotel, we had a great time, even the 12am fire alarm wake up and subsequent trip to the foyer didn't bother us too much :)
Valet parking is $28...a little steep? although good service
would recommend a trip to this lovely hotel, you wont be disappointed, but maybe try dinner at the nearby Eagle Pier- restaurants there looked lovely.
