This hotel has first class service and all of the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. We staying in a room with a private balcony overlooking the park. The room was extremely large and comfortable. The breakfast had an excellent selection and eating in the private garden was a great way to start the day. I would highly recommend!

My husband and I just came back from a fantastic week end in Florence, and if the sites and museums were breathtaking, the hotel was rather good too. It was in a very quiet location, away from the buzz of the centre, but still within10min walk from the Academia, a bit more for the Uffizzi.
So just a perfect location.
The only bad note would be for the restaurant . The menu is very enticing, but does not live up to its promises. And very expensive too.
But with so many restaurants in Florence, you can definitely enjoy the comfort of the hotel and the staff friendliness without testing the restaurant!

Stayed here for four nights in late September. Our room was quite large with many electrical outlets, and nice sized bathroom. The location was a great compromise--walking distance to just about everything but still in a quiet area. The park across the street had a lovely carousel and attracted locals with children and dogs--a great place to people watch for a while. The restaurant was excellent--although it is primarily for guests. Concierge was quite helpful and gave us a wonderful suggestion for a day trip to Lucca--about 1 1/2 hours away by train. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

My husband and I recently stayed at The Regency for three nights and had a very enjoyable stay. We received a very warm welcome as soon as we arrived and our room and its amenities were super (Room #405). The room was comfortable and had three small balconies that overlooked the park. The bathroom was big with nice toiletries (which were freshened daily), fluffy towels, and excellent water pressure. We enjoyed drinks in the garden courtyard and also had an excellent dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was fine and morning room service for coffee was always right on time and excellent.
The concierge(s) were top notch and provided excellent restuarant reommendations (don't miss Leo's!) and private tours with the Mercurial group (excellent and small groups).
Although the hotel was a slight walk from the downtown sights, it only took us at most ten minutes and the traffic was fine.
The only possible negative, and it's hardly a complaint, is to separate the key pick up/drop off from the Concierge desk. There was a bit of a gridlock issue/interruption when speaking with the concierge. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in Florence and the Hotel Regency was part of the reason for this. We definitely recommend this hotel!

My wife and I and another couple took advantage of the "stay 7 nights at the Regency and 7 nights at the sister hotel Lord Byron in Rome, and pay for only ten nights". It turns out that both hotels are run remarkably well. The hotel is situated in a residential neighborhood only a short walk to the main sites. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite. It was very quiet and very comfortable.
The concierges, Federico, and Aviti, were fully informed and always at service. The restaurant was excellent both for breakfast and supper. In particular our waiter Romano was out- standing. The hotel is kept meticulously by a caring staff. After a week in Florence we went to their sister hotel the Lord Byron situated in the upscale nieghborhood of Parioli just outside the Bourghese Gradens. Here were upgrade to suites that were quite large and equally quiet and the service by Claudia and Andrea at the front desk was outstanding. Kudos to Nicola at the bar. We will definitely return to both these hotels in the future.
