I just returned from a 4 night stay at the One and Only Ocean Club after being referred there by a friend. My husband and I went there to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and to be perfectly honest, after reading some of the reviews on Trip Advisor, I had my reservations. Within minutes after arriving, all my concerns were put to rest. The grounds are immaculate, the service was impeccable and the overall feel of the resort was extremely relaxing and luxorious. I felt that the staff couldn't do enough for you and were extremely friendly and attentive! There were special surprises to celebrate our anniversary (beautiful flowers, drinks, etc.) which I thought was extremely thoughtful. The reviews were right about the food prices- some of them were a bit outrageous but the food was delicious. We especially loved lunches at the poolside restaurant and dinner at Dunes. We found ways to "save" money by eating breakfast off property on 2 of the days we were there. Overall, I think it's a great place and I hope to get back there soon!

Overall, this is a beautiful and quiet hotel. The beach is amazing. Our room was a garden room but still very nice. Service is not exactly perfect if you compare to St. Regis or Four Seasons resorts, but we enjoyed our stay none the less. The food at Dune is great but not the best value. This is the most relaxing place to stay on Nassau or Paradise Island, Atlantis draws a much larger crowd.

My wife and I just spent our 15 yr wedding annivs. at the Ocean Club, Paradise Island.
The property itself is beautiful from rooms to spa to golf course. For the price, which is high, we both thought the food service , including breakfast and beach, was average at best. We stayed in an oceanfront room, which included a Butler, and he was EXCELLENT.
The resort is lacking beach activities, like sailing, snorkling, etc. The beach is very beautiful, but remember it is a public beach and you will be approached about jet ski rides to beads to coconuts that look like turtles.
If you are looking for remote, this is not your place. You will pass McDonald's, Burger Kings, Applebees, and indoor malls. If you want convience, it is good for a 3 night stay. Good ,but not great.

Just returned from 4 nights stay last week. Complaints far too numerous to list here. My wife and I stayed at One & Only Palmilla 2 years ago, and anticipated same type of service from this location. Ocean Club service/accomodations are NOT EVEN CLOSE. This one needs to be dropped from the One & Only chain. We're mid 30s and don't expect to be treated like royalty, but the despicable service around EVERY turn left us just amazed. At this price point, the staff has a lot to learn about simple customer care. In particular the pool and beach staff and the butlers. Without exaggeration, I have had better service at $49/night motels. Our views were shared by other guests we met on the beach. We concur with every negative review of this place, and implore all those who are considering a stay here, to travel to Palmilla or elsewhere instead! Even The Cove at Atlantis beat Ocean Club in every category.

My husband and I just returned from the one and only . We spent our honeymoon there!. I would recommend this place for a honeymoon. The surroundings are beautiful and intimate. The ocean view and beach are breath taking. My favorite spot was the cloisters which was located by the pool. The statues and garden were very lovely. I thought most of the staff especially our butler were very accomodating.
Now here the only problems I had with the place. There is only one shop located on the grounds and it's a boutique with clothes that are outrageously priced. There are hardly any convience items in the shop. Furthermore the mini bar which is filled with snacks, suntan lotion, and a camera for 27 dollars is such a rip off!!! furthermore don't plan to be hungry in the late afternoon because the restaurants shut and prepare for dinner. Dune offers a bar menu but it's quite heavy for a before dinner meal.
However I do recommend the courtyard restaurant, the surroundings are very lovely, service excellent, and food great!!!
so if you decide to go be prepared to pay for a lot of extra things and please don't forget to say please and thank you to who is assisting you. I've noticed so many people failing to do that, just because you may have money doesn't give you the right to disrespect the staff!!!!!!!!!! They are working their butts off to please you. Respect them!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks,
Lauren
