I stayed at the hotel for a week and I combined business and pleasure. I was organising a 4-day event for 70 people and then I stayed over for the weekend. The hotel is located in a beautiful peninsula and offers magnificent view from all angles. Rooms (all with a view) in the main building are very tastefully decorated and of a good size. The private bungalows and villas are of the best ones I’ve seen! Great choice of restaurants and bars. The conference center very well located within the complex and extremely functional and well equipped. But what really lakes Lagonisi Grand resort to stand out is the service and the people! I have never seen such a dedicated team ready to do assist and find solutions for everything the client wants. Always pro-active ensuring that our needs were covered and with a real!!! smile
You are thinking of going with your family or take your business there... don't hesitate! Only one thing to keep in mind... If you want to visit Athens (Acropolis, Plaka, etc.) is a good 45min on a taxi

It was the second time we visited this hotel with my pregnant wife and our child. We stayed for one night in a standard room, which is really small not more than 20m2 and quite hard for a family to spend more than a day with the baby cot and the rest of the staff. So please avoid it.
While we were in the shower we saw a shadow and i discovered that this shadow was a large sexy cockroach showering with us...
I did not say anything as i could not find anyone inside the toilets...
The service in the beach bars especially for the ones seating in the loungers is non existant. I would expect from a luxury hotel like that to have frequent beach service for people lounging in the beach. I asked a lady to come and it was like she did not see me... THE SERVICE IN THE BEACH IS POOR. Not acceptable for the amount of money that you pay.
We came again as we liked the beach side and they gave us a sharing pool room in the main building. It was small but this is not their fault, thats the way it is, so we had no problem. We were happy that they gave us with the price of a standard room a sharing pool room.
However the same night we found a big cockroach inside the room something that it is unacceptable for this hotel. I send an email to the Hotel so that they can take immediate action and they did. The deputy director called me the day after to apologize and upgrade us in a big room with sharing pool, gym etc. They were very kind and we appreciate they acted this way.
The staff is very friendly in my opinion and helpful. The room service especially in the bungalows is very slow most of the times.
I would recommend the PLAZA RESORT in ANAVISSOS as a great alternative. Great service, great for families and big rooms with the same price. 295 euros for a 45m2 junior suite.

I would like to suggest to everyone to go in this wonderful resort, very nice place, great hotel's services and very kind and professional staff. Also the restaurants are very high standard level and you can taste the best seeing a wonderful sea landscape! I organize incentive group and believe me if I tell you that it is the top of the quality!!!
I come back again from a couple of week end because it is impossible to find another GREAT HOTEL as LAGONISSI RESORT in the world.......!!!!
Simply excellent.

We stayed here in August on a stop over in Athens with our friends and their child. They had booked twin rooms with shared pool. Over $1k per night per room.
We were actually returning from Mykonos so we were full of bliss and arrived to here. I suspect we were shell shocked for the 3 days we stayed here.
The exterior design is easy on eye. Stone villas, minimalist with classical references. Some with pools, some with just balconies (ie above our rooms impacting one's sense of privacy). Then there's the hotel itself which I think may have standard bedrooms.
Right on the seafront, it looks like the idyllic mediterranean experience. Partially it is. Here you can have anything you want but at enormous cost. There are at least 3 restaurants, panasian, greek, modern european, standard sea-front restaurant for daytime dining. ?41 for a strawberry milk-shake at a bog standard beachside restaurant with sporadic and inconsistent service? I kid you not.
The resort is enormous so there are golf buggies to transport you around.
I cannot describe how mixed this place leaves you feeling. On one hand, the rooms are enormous; fitted gym, steam room alongside gigantic jacuzzis and lemony soft towels everwhere but somehow there's no serenity in any of this. If it were opulent, I'd identify that as a positive but it's not even opulent because of the style and design. There's something amiss here, something to do with the excess here. Almost everything here smacks of excess from the overpriced milkshake... to the unnecessary number of towels everywhere!!!
For example, we decided to have dinner the first night using room service. It arrived one and a half hours later using two golf buggies and at least three staff. But, despite the long wait, some of the food was plain cold... Apparently, they had to travel to pick up some of the dishes from some of the other restaurants etc etc. One of the older room service staff was apologetic but, and I kid you not, as the last plate was laid down asked for us to sign the bill and loudly reminded us that they had not been tipped. We tipped - stupidly. Again in shell-shock.
The layout's dated and makes you feel like you're in an episode of Dynasty except exchange the Dynasty cast with Russian oligarchs-on-sea. This place is very popular with the extremely wealthy of Moscow and I think the 'less is more' concept just wont fly with this clientele.
The restaurants were typical 'resorty' restaurants. Middling to average fare but extremely expensive. The panasian restaurant is just not good though. Horrible actually. And the breakfast 'hall'. It's like a communist era refectory with buffet. Truly hideous, enormous dining room. Fruit disappeared the minute it arrived for some strange reason but in all the provisions were ok. Coffee always seems 5 minutes away as it always took five minutes to find someone to take your drinks order and five minutes to come back. Weird. Despite the number of staff.
The Spa was pretty good. Again, ?130 for an hour's massage was a bargain in comparison to the food charges.
In all, I never want to think about here again, ever. Despite some really wonderful staff (with one or two really taking the proverbial, the room service chappy delivered ice and an extra glass to us the following day and asked yet again for a tip).
We left here poorer physically, spiritually and financially.
