This is a wonderful hotel if you really want to indulge yourself. The pool area is lovely and very relaxing. Good saunas, and good to have a female only sauna if you are modest ,though it is not always working. The staff are efficient and extremely helpful. The rooms are of a very high standard and the public rooms are beautifully laid out. There are 3 restaurants in the hotel, but we ate only at one, Enoteca, which is an Italian trattoria. The food was excellent and competitively priced for a hotel of this quality. The only issue we would have is that the room price did not include breakfast and although the breakfast is very good did not really consider it to be worth an extra 25 euro per person. Also, charging 16 euro a day to park is really churlish considering that this is a 5* plus hotel and you are already paying a premium to stay here.

Wir haben im Schloss Bensberg geheiratet. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, ebenso das Essen, die Zimmer, Einrichtungen und die Lage. Ich kann das Hotel mit bestem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Das italienische Restaurant bietet ein hervorragendes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis und im Hotel selbst gibt es ein 3 Michelin-Sterne Restaurant. Das andere 3 Michelin-Sterne Restaurant der Gegend liegt etwas weiter die Straße runter. Das Schwimmbad war wunderbar und man hat einen herrlichen Blick auf Köln in der Ferne. Auch wenn Sie hier sind, um Köln zu besichtigen, würde ich Ihnen den Aufenthalt in Bensberg empfehlen, das Hotel ist wesentlich besser, als andere Hotels in Köln.

Der Hauptgrund, warum wir hier übernachtet haben, war das Restaurant Dieter Muller. Leider haben weder das Restaurant, noch das Hotel uns beeindruckt. Ja, das Essen war hervorragend, aber das würde man auch von einem 3 Sterne Restaurant erwarten. Es hat uns jedoch nicht beeindruckt! Es ist einfach gut, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Der Service war mittelmäßig und wirklich nichts Besonderes, genau wie das Essen auch. Wir haben die Relais und Chateaux 5C Karte und erhielten so einen Upgrade in eine Suite. Ein schönes, großes Zimmer, leider gab es kaum Fenster und so war der Aufenthalt sehr dunkel und nicht sehr angenehm. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls sehr einfach und hat uns auch nicht weiter beeindruckt. Alles in allem ist es ein angenehmes Hotel, hat uns jedoch nicht das Gefühl gegeben, dass wir zurückkehren möchten. Sie verpassen nichts, wenn Sie nicht hier übernachten und speisen.

We were married at Schloss Bensberg. Phenomenal service, food, rooms, facilities, location. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The italian restaurant is the best value, although there is a 3 Michelin star restaurant on the property. The other 3 star restaurant in the area is just down the road. The pool area is wonderful. There is a great view of Cologne in the distance. Even if your main purpose is to visit Cologne, I still recommend staying at Bensberg above any other property in Cologne itself.

Stayed 5 days. Food and wine outstanding enjoyed the Vondome and Deiter Muller's resturant. plus wine list. Wondeful grounds for post dinner walking. Full spa day was wonderful, staff pleasant. St Barts body treatments not to be missed (vanilla body lotion). Small bottle of Perrier 11 euros plus tip! beware of extras. Amazing bar snacks, try wasabi nuts, bartender very knowledgable re cigars and brandies. Beds and bedding supurb. L'Occitane body products in rooms appreciated. Great shopping and good resturants 5 minutes walk. However...organizing a teleconference, sending a fax, wireless issues.... this is not the place, very limited informed administrative support,, business centre is a small desk under the stairs with a desktop ,without a telephone and shared with the catering department during parties. Definitly the best stay ever for R&R...retired the lap top and business after the 3rd day!!!!
