I work nights and called to see if I could have a 8 am check in after working all night. They person I spoke with on the phone said that it was no problem. So when I arrived at 8:15 am wanting to check in, the woman at the front desk was nothing but complaints about me wanting to check in. She said the room I had reserved was not ready and that Hotwire had no idea of thier capacity. I interrupted her tirade to clarify that I had call the location of the hotel directly to ask about the earlier check in that Hotwire had nothing to do with the early check in. She quit complaining about Hotwire, but continued on about how they didn't know until the night before if they had rooms available for early check in. I had made up my mind right then and there at check in that I would not be staying here again. (I have been working 3 nights a week in the area and have given hotels that are nice about my weird schedule lots of repeat business.) She ended up having to put me in a double room, but was very unpleasant about it.
Not only did I have problems with the front desk, but there was not a Do Not Disturb sign in the room (I sleep during the day). Housekeeping knocked on my door twice the day I arrived and woke me up both times. The second day I requested a Do Not Disturb sign from the desk and didn't have this problem.

This hotel was easy to get to and had many restaurants within walking distance. Ok now the stay...The room was not very clean. The bathroom floor had dirt in the corners and the tub and sink were very stained. The carpet was dirty and stained. The bed linens were very thin and the pillows very flat. The dresser smelled so bad I could hardly walk by it. The chairs were also stained. The note pad was left from previous visitors and had been used as a coaster. There was no pen and new pad given. The door didn't fit well leaving a large gap between frame and door. The people on one side kept slamming their door and it shook the whole wall with the bed against it. They kept coming and going all night and using the car remote to lock the car...horn beeping each time. The room was so dirty we slept in our clothes and shoes. (The little sleep we got) The toilet would not flush so we were given a plunger to use with each use. The stay was so bad we checked out at 2:00am just to get away from there. I was not given a receipt because they were in the process of posting and promised to e-mail them to me. (I had two rooms as my daughter and her family were traveling with us.) I never got the receipts. The ice machine was in a closed in area with some vending machines and the smell was so bad I thought I would be sick. I made our reservations 6 weeks before we traveled to be sure we would have a place to stop after a full day of driving. I am very disappointed with this location. I have stayed in other LaQuinta's and have had very nice accommodations.

Pretty bad

We've stayed at LaQuintas many times because of the pet-friendly policies. This was probably the worst experience.
1. Mildew on bathroom walls and ceiling
2. Linens threadbare and bottom sheet not fitted
3. Called front desk, no answer
4. Front desk clerk had no idea of what the weather forecast was for that night or next day.
5. No attendant at breakfast buffet, food on floor, dirty tables, dirty counter - had to go to restaurant and miss the "free breakfast".
It was just fine

We stayed there 3 nights while sightseeing in Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain. The room was clean and everything worked. A good value for the money and the location made it easy to get downtown and everywhere we wanted to go.
