Housekeeping Problems!
Guest name: Savannahone, Savannah
Stayed at this property on the way to a vacation destination. It has alot of housekeeping problems and the property did not look well "kept up" like other La Quinta Inn and Suites I have stayed in.
Dirty Grout in the bathroom
Dirty glass all over the property, the worst was in the room. When sunlight was streaming in it looked like children had been wiping something all over the glass if you catch my drift. Let's hope it wasn't adults.
Paint and walls need to be touched up all over the place.
Carpet is wrinkled and dirty in the hallways.
Very limited toiletries in the bath.
Room had not been vaccumed well.
Surly, male, African American front desk clerk. Two light bulbs were burned out in the lamps in the room and it was very obvious that he "couldn't be bothered" when I walked down and offered to change them myself if he would retrieve them for me.
All and all, this place is tired. I will not be returning.
Very Nice, newly redone rooms

After reading the reviews I had low expectations for this hotel. I was very plesantly surprised. The rooms look as if they are newly redone, everything is very clean and well maintained. The breakfast area is pleasant and spacious, with a wide variety of food. I didn't go in the pool, but it looked nice.

Have stayed at this location twice within last 3 months and had same experience both times. Room is adequate-we did not find the beds too hard. The hallways and elevator are not kept very clean though. Breakfast is tolerable--except for the little fruit flies(?) that linger around the coffee dispensing area. Really unappetizing!!
Great staff, good location halfway between airport & downtown

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights while in Greenville for my nephew's wedding. It was incredibly easy to get to from the airport (mapquest directions were correct), and just a 10-minute drive to downtown G'ville. We arrived around noon, a few hours before check-in, but the very kind front-desk folks tried to get us into our room as soon as possible. Throughout our stay, the staff were a joy, even the housekeeping folks were incredibly pleasant and helpful. The airy front lobby was nice, and the continental breakfast serviceable. But our room, well... We reserved the (only) Smoking Suite, because we figured we'd host the after-party from my nephew's no-alcohol reception. (I bought a can of Febreze Air Effects at the nearest CVS and soaked the place after we arrived.) The bed was very comfortable. but the suite itself was a little run down; the french doors for the bathroom were missing a latch and had a huge gap so a properly positioned person could easily see you on the toilet (!!), there were nicks and dinginess everywhere, one of the wall pictures had a gash and the glass was missing. But the important things, the linens and bath, were squeaky-clean. And after visiting my sister's and mother's nice rooms, I realized that the crappiness was just due to our having a Smoking room. Apparently smokers are relegated to the worst rooms in the joint. And the elevators were very much in need of attention; they were dirty, one had some splattering of red stuff in it, and had some unsettling clunking during the journeys between the floors. The staff is the only reason I gave this hotel as high a rating as I have. I'd have had a much, much lower opinion of it had I not seen my sister's and mother's rooms, though!

I stayed at the La Quinta Greenville SC for 1 night and its not a bad location. Room 615. 3 out of 5 stars isn't bad. It was just an average hotel.
Check-in: Everyone was nice and they let me check in very early around 1 pm. Quick and right up to my room. Plus they actually read my request on the reservation and gave me a room location I prefer. Side note they had elevators at both ends of the hotel so if your room is in the back you can park there and get to your room easier.
Room: Nice and spacious like most LQ hotels. The rooms are very big and everything was in working order. I didn't have a fridge because they were out of suite rooms when I reserved. The TV wasn't the best. It was old and the color seemed a bit off but not horrible. It also had a desk and a recliner.
Beds: I had 2 doubles and no complaints.
Bathroom: Clean and everything was stocked. The shower head was less then average. The pressure was good but it didn't spread the water out enough. It was a tight stream.
Heater: Heater worked fine and it wasn't loud. They have electronic wall units so you can pick your exact temperature.
Internet: Free. They had hard wire in my room and it said they had wireless also but I didn't try the wireless. Speeds were good during the day but it really slowed down when everyone would get back to the hotel around 5pm. 10Mbps hard wired.
Breakfast: Free and same as all the other LQ locations I've been. Pretty basic breakfast with waffles, breads, yogurt, juices, coffee, doughnuts, and fruit. If they run out of something then you are out of luck. Once its gone they tell you they are out. Come on, no bananas left?
Check out: They didn't have a paper or my bill under my door on my check-out day so I had to go to the desk. Not to par with most other locations but not a huge deal. It was a quick check-out and everything was correct.
I would stay at this location again on another visit to Greenville. Chances are I'll look around to see what else is in town but I won't be annoyed if I have to stay there again. Nothing bad but nothing that makes me run outside and tell all my friends.
