Great welcome; lovely room with canal view;very comfortable indeed.

Some noise from outside after midnight. Phone wasn't working and staff had to knock on door - but they did not wait to see if I was awake....

We really enjoyed seeing a new side to Leeds. The hotel is set on the waterfront with plenty of new bars and restaurants opening.

Very expensive for a middle of the range hotel. The room we had was nothing like those pictures, definately not boutique, very like a standard hotel room anywhere. Breakfast at over £14 per head is ridiculous and the hotel has no bar (well an honesty bar which was very poor and lacked any atmosphere)The hotel room was extremelly noisy until at least 4am, the hotel had no air con so we had to leave the window open making the noise unbearable.

Very central location, nice comfortable room. Breakfast pricey.

Extremely professional, friendly and responsive staff especially at the reception desk. Genuinely seem to care that guests have a good experience. Very comfortable beds and huge thick towels and towel warming racks in the bathroom. Guest handbook included useful suggestions for restaurants. Serene atmosphere and sense of Leed's industrial pervades this beautiful converted 19th century mill building, which makes the stay even more special.

Rooms that face the River Aire may be noisy on weekend evenings because there is a large nightclub nearby. However, the noise is only likely to be a problem if you prefer to sleep with windows open. The drapes are extremely thick and heavy and, in combination with a closed window, are very effective at dampening sound. We found the pillows a bit too thick, reflecting our personal preference for thinner ones.

We had a Directors Room overlooking the river/canal which was very comfy. I felt the room itself was reasonable and gave us enough space for our toddler to enjoy herself. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Disappointed there was no restaurant open and had to traipse around Leeds with a 2yr old to go and eat at 6.30pm. My fault for not fully reading the hotel write up, just something to be aware of. They do provide an excellent guide to the city restaurants to make up for this fact.

been close to the shops and pubs

The room needed some TLC looking alittle shabby. Also the metal bridge was noisy

The rooms are great. We had a loft room with beams and open ceiling which was lovely, and it overlooked the river, a bargain for the price we paid! The location was perfect, 5 minute walk from the main shops and lovely bars and restaurants next door and across the bridge. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

I couldn't fault the hotel. We have stayed here before beacuse it's so nice, although it's not somewhere we could imagine bringing our young children.
