This property probably won't be a La Quinta for much longer. There are several other hotels right in the immediate area and they must be better. We literally could not sleep because the floor on the room above us made so much noise, we thought the guests were going to fall through on us. A shame.

We stayed here for 1 night and had booked 2 rooms over the phone. I was using the AAA guide to find my hotel. As this one was rated 3 stars I was excited for the price I ended up with, $110 for BOTH rooms. For some reason the reservation kept showing one room free so the lady told me not to worry and I made sure to get her name in case there was a problem at check-in. The hotel is an easy find right off the freeway but the area is a bit grungy and barren...During our visit there was construction work on the freeway and there were 10 exits in a row blocked off. Thank goodness I had brought a Tuscon map along! I usually book rooms in Motel 8s and Travel Lodge so I was hoping the bump up to 3 star was going to be nice, but not really. I was surprised to see the inside of our rooms looked just like the hotels we usually stayed at, and our rooms had tons of wear and tear to them, but they were clean. We were on the first floor and you park basically right outside your sliding door so you can unload your car right through the window.. The security bar on the slider was hanging by one screw and on the other room's door it was just as bad. The TV in one room had reception on only a few channels without static. In one bathroom the light never went off. I would say it was fine for the price I paid, but if I had paid between $60-$90 for each room I would have been more unhappy. The front desk clerks were very nice and helpful, there is a beautiful lobby and I found the free breakfast great. Traveling with 4 kids I never stay anywhere without the free breakfast!! The food was the usual cereals, muffins, juices, oatmeal and breads. They also had yogurts and a waffle maker. There were plenty of seats for everyone. This was the highlight of the stay... For dinner the night before we walked over to the adjoining restaurant ,The Kettle, and found it had basically a Denny's style menu, including breakfast for dinner, so that's what we all had. It was great, french toast, eggs, sausage all pretty hard to ruin. There was a buffet set out. The host/manager was very friendly and polite and our waitress was great too, really took the time with the kids. It seems like a local hangout as the manager sat at several tables chatting with the people. Cops were in there too. So we left perfectly satisfied, the bill was around $40 for 2 adults and 2 children. Its hard to choose a hotel from a guidebook because so much depends on the age of the property, so since I found this site I will check on here next time!! All in all I would recommend this hotel if you are not too picky, are a budget traveler or are only staying 1 night. If I returned to Tuscon I would try another hotel.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. We were greeted by professional and friendly staff. We had a late night issue and front desk staff immediately handled our issue. We were pleased to see that the hotel provided security as well. We will deffinately be returning to your hotel in the future.

I booked and paid for two identical rooms online; they were at opposite ends of the hotel, and one was smaller than the other. We chose LaQuinta because of the breakfast; we ended up eating at the Denny's next door both days because the food was sparse and the tiny breakfast room was too crowded to find a table. We also stayed two nights, and the room supplies weren't replenished for the second day (shampoo, coffee, etc.). Overall, this was a big disappointment and not worth the money.
