Poor excuse for a Holiday Inn Express
Guest name: Jed, OC
While the rooms are comfortable, the walls are paper thin. I would of rated it higher if it wasn't so overpriced. It has no business on the same price level as the Elegante Hotel down the street.
Little things like free USA Today were not provided like at Elegante.
Also, the free breakfast is basically best on a Monday since that is when all the food is fresh. The rest of the week people are relegated to what is left over from Monday. All the fruit (bananas)was gone by Tuesday. Yogurt was gone by Thursday. Nowhere near the quality or experience of a Holiday Inn Express which it clearly strives to be.
Nice-typical of the new La Quintas

My wife and I spent two nights here in August. This is a clean, quiet, and convenient motel. The free breakfast was definitely a cut above what you get at other chains offering such. I would like to say I was surprised by how nice the place was, but I was not. We have stayed several times in newer LaQuintas and find these to be a completely different breed from the older LaQuintas. As far as I can tell, if the particular LaQuinta you are looking at has interior hallways, it is of the newer type. Good place.

Stayed in Executive King room with wife and 2 dogs (35 and 55 lbs). We got the military rate at $89/night over labor day weekend (don't know if this room is usually more expensive or not...). We are moving, and having medium-large dogs and not having to pay extra was great! A lot of hotels have fees for "large" dogs, but La Quinta only requires (I think all of them do) a $50 refundable deposit.
It's right off I-10 and very convenient. The pool and hot tub is very nice, although it is adjacent to the parking lot and near the street (traffic noise detracts a little bit, but having a near empty pool on labor day weekend is great). The staff gave us an extra blanket and towels when we asked, in addition to looking up a local number for us when we were on our way to the hotel. They have been, overall, very helpful, although we haven't really had any problems.
To top it off, free wireless internet in the room (which also had a nice desk and office chair) is a great bonus if you have need for it. I'm actually writing from the room now.
The only downside we have experienced is a somewhat strange smell in the room (I noticed it, my wife didn't). I think this may just be a "hotel" smell from the cleaning or maybe the a/c, however, and it's not noticeable after being in the room for a minute.
I think you get a little above what you might expect/desire for the price, but the fact that we could keep our dogs here for no extra fee made us very impressed about this place. We recommend it.

I stayed in the LaQuinta Inn & Suites located on Walden Road in West Beaumont during a business trip. The hotel was very clean and nice. I would not usually consider staying in a LaQuinta, but this one was extremely nice. The executive chair in the room was very comfortable when making phone calls. The bathroom was tiled and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The hotel is within sight of I-10, but far enough to avoid the freeway noise at night. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

I usually stay in Hampton Inns, but in post-hurricane Beaumont hotel choices are very thin. I haven't ever thought of La Quinta Suites as a chain on the level of Hampton, but this stay proved me wrong.
This hotel is very clean, comfortable, and a good value. My room, despite being on the first floor, was quiet. It was spacious, and had a great work desk that I wish Hampton Inns would mimic. Great lighting, comfortable bed, and a very good showerhead.
Breakfast was another surprise. They had self-made waffles, pigs in a blanket and sausage egg & cheese biscuits amongst the typical muffins, bagels, etc.
Friendly service and a good location round out a wonderful stay. Very highly recommended!
