This hotel was great for the money - I booked my rooms about 2 months out and with the AAA discount I only paid $26.00 night. It was great for everything we went for - the rooms were clean and spacious, the breakfast was just the usual. We travel with a small dog and so far at all the LQ we've stayed at there is no sign an animal has ever been in the room before we got there - if anyone is looking for a chain that welcomes pets and keeps the rooms clean - LQ is a good bet.
Not so great

I have stayed in many La Quinta hotels and this one was not so great. We booked our reservation through the hotel's website and then later called the 1-800 number to change it by one day. When we arrived at the hotel they did not have our reservation! Luckily we had our printed confirmation - the employee at the front desk didn't know how to help us so he had to get the manager. She did offer us a room at the same rate but should have lowered it or offered some other incentive since our reservation had been lost. The room was clean and the hotel relatively quiet. When we checked out our bill was wrong and once again the employee didn't know how to correct it and had to get the manager. Probably won't stay here again!

I've stayed at several LaQuintas this year and all except this one were wonderful. The 4228 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe was just not up to par. The hallway remained littered with crushed Cherrios during our overnight stay. There were crumbs on the desk of our suite, little pieces of trash on the floor, a STICKY toilet seat, ripped seams in the carpet, a significantly chipped bathtub, the smell of smoking in the bathroom, no light working on one side of the king bed, and a hole in the wall by the entry doorway. Only a single employee was on duty from 3:30 in the afternoon until 8:00 the next morning. This hotel is in an older building and it appears as though ownership has no intent of fixing it up.

This was a mid-point stop between two destinations. Was a bit off the interstate but easy to find. Offered free wireless internet and a decent continental breakfast. Dogs allowed for no extra fee. Room was clean and had a nice big table to eat dinner at. Conveniently located next to a restaurant. Also near what appeared to be a mall or shopping center (was freezing outside so didn't spend too much time looking around!). Would go back if we're in the area again.

Just your average motel, but it was clean and comfortable. Liked the showerhead pressure. It's away from the center city, but close to the mall and lots of the chain restuarants on Cerrillos Road,.
